It's over for Suffolk Downs. Deleo is walking away, they have zero chance unless the MGC grants an extension, and the chances of that are even less

Ya I believe they are focusing on the Wegmans/retail and apartments first and are targeting Winter 2014 - September 2015 for those. Hotel is last on the schedule.

They never had confirmation that it was their land, now they do. The state had refused to negotiate because there was no proof that they had the right to the land, the Feds just gave them that right.

Its class 2 meaning not Vegas-style. Besides, I don't think anyone really has a say in whether or not it will get built. The Feds gave them the go ahead, the state can do nothing about it. Regardless, I don't think this development would do very well considering the off season on the island of...

Exactly, Wynn is technically in the best position right now aside from the fact that he is not found suitable yet. If you can win the Region A license, you will have the most lucrative development in the state and possibly New England.

While I see your point, I don't believe that is the case here. He has expressed his interest in Everett for a while and has spent millions and millions of dollars already towards the project. I know he is a billionaire and millions are like pennies to him, but if he were to win that license it...

Wynn just pulled his bid in Philadelphia and there have been rumors that he is very close to doing the same with Everett.

To clarify, I'm not channeling said sports radio host I have just learned from past forums that dick is normally censored so I have become used to using richard in place of that. Sorry for the confusion Carry on edit: I guess I can use dick all I want on AB, excellent

Lawsuits, lawsuits and more lawsuits Ron, I have a hard time believing you don't know which way you would vote given your attitude in this thread towards casinos. I'm not trying to be a richard or anything either

Well this doesn't make much sense considering Rush, Penn, Mohegan, and Cordish have all been found suitable.

In order to comply with the MGC deadlines, they would have to have an operator selected and approved for suitability, as well as a full referendum in Revere ONLY (i think), bye the end of the year. I am not 100% on the second referendum being necessary. All in all, Wynn is a lock at this point...

There is a lot of site work that needs to be done but they are moving, activity there 6 days a week. I believe they hope to have the first retail open by next Christmas or the spring of 2015

Re: TD Garden Towers Is this a joke? If bruins fans are as stupid as you say - what does that make celtics fans? And if that is your definition of stupid, every single major sports fan in the world almost must be stupid then for paying those concession prices. Ever been to fenway? I'm not...

Any chance you are thinking of Charing Cross a little further down Comm Ave in the old nursing home? Not questioning your source but I haven't found any information on the gulf site at all. http://boston.curbed.com/tags/charing-cross edit: Nevermind I take it back, I believe you are correct

Does anyone know what the plans are for the old Gulf station on Commonwealth Ave - the one right next to the Best Western. I know it was demolished earlier this summer but wasn't sure if there were any plans for the site. https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?mid=zXc_-ilYdMsE.k9gphQ6Yu--8
