Portland Museum of Art Expansion | Portland

Though I am a huge proponent of historic preservation, I personally do not believe the Children's Museum is worth saving as it has been bastardized multiple times over the years from it's original iteration. I am in favor of razing it to accommodate the PMA expansion. HOWEVER this entire...

    Portland Passenger Rail

Of course the final solution will likely make no sense. If they were to do it right, they would build a single transportation hub to serve all forms of ground transportation with room to grow as the city does. But I am sure the various modes of transport will end up scattered across the map.

    USM | Portland

These properties should be sold as "needs to be relocated" to free up future space if USM is going to get serious about being a true urban university. Next to go - Oakhurst.

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

Casco Tower. Though I think there is a better name out there still. Azimuth and Lorelei are too obscure and people will have no clue how these names would relate to the building (because they don't).

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

Your counter argument is ridiculous. Trying to market a building full of apartments under the John Ford name is asking for failure. Unless you are an old film buff you have no clue who he was. "Blyth and Burrows" and "Henry's" can be catchy names for an establishment without patrons knowing...

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

And the majority of younger folks would be asking who the hell John Ford is. Personally I was raised on John Ford films but I am also a boomer (barely ... lol). "The John Ford Building" would be DOA with the majority of folks to whom these apartments would be marketed.

    Scarborough, ME

If you have not yet taken the opportunity to explore The Downs in Scarborough I highly recommend doing so. I was in the area yesterday and was highly impressed with what they are creating. Aceto Landscape Architects have done a tremendous job of designing this mixed use development...

    Portland International Jetport | PWM

Last week I arrived into PWM on the 2:14 Delta flight from Minneapolis which is right in the midst of the afternoon rush. The terminal was absolutely packed with passengers waiting to depart on flights and all of the restaurants and shops were crowded with people. It had the feel of a much...
