Also, I would hope they would find a clever way to re-incorporate Newbury back into the grid. This would eliminate some of the existing traffic on Mass Ave and Comm Ave (and even Beacon and Boylston), so the additional traffic created by removing the overpass wouldn't be as noticable.

I wouldn't mind seeing the western half of the block of Comm Ave between Charlegate E & W developed....the north side of Comm Ave would be a great place for an elementary school, though the city doesn't think the Back Bay should have one. The neighbors sould scream though, as that is destryoing...
