Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

Phase 2 (the tower) in 2018/19 seems overly optimistic.

Did anyone attend last night or have any sense of timing for a vote?

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

It would be much better if nothing was named after anyone. There is not a soul on this planet that you cannot dig up dirt on. Especially when revisionist history becomes en vogue, as it is now.

The role of traditional journalism in modern socieity

Re: Boston Globe Site Redevelopment | Dorchester One wonders if there will ever be another investigation of that magnitude. There certainly is enough corruption to go around. Investigative journalism seems dead, unless it's a targeted hit piece. Quote: Originally Posted by Jouhou View Post...

West Cambridge / Alewife Area Infill & Small Developments

I'm not surprised, rarely does something good come from a large chain after their initial splash into a new marker. My point on D&B was that they seem to have a hard time getting a liquor license unlike the high end bowling. I know when they tried for one at the old Sam's club in Natick the...

Dave and Busters does well too, although they have a difficult time obtaining liquor licenses in Puritanical Mass. It's easier for a Kings as bowling and drinking has long been accepted whereas video games are looked upon as child's play by many local governments and licensing boards.

Meadow Glen Mall Redevelopment | Medford

Understood. But this project won't go anywhere for quite sometime. I think it's questionable whether the city council would even have standing to sue, it depends on the city charter. There have been quite a few of these cases in recent years in the suburbs. But once that it determined, it will...

Meadow Glen Mall Redevelopment | Medford

One city agency suing another should work out well. Sounds like someone's (or a few) palm didn't get greased.

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Re: Site in Hub top choice for a soccer stadium Um, neither BU nor Northeastern has football teams. And Harvard is all set where they are. Nonetheless, it kind of defeats the premise of a Soccer Specific Stadium, no?

Kendall Common ( née Volpe Redevelopment) | Kendall Sq | Cambridge

It's most certainly an ill-conceived concept that companies are finally realizing. My company recently expanded / renovated and the architects were extremely aggressive in pushing the open concept seating / interior office plans which was met with utter disdain from the executive team. It was...

Re: Site in Hub top choice for a soccer stadium The southie crowd is already sharpening the pitchforks they used the last time Krafty Bob wanted to build a stadium near their hood: US Representative Stephen Lynch, whose district includes South Boston and the Dorchester waterfront, is already...

The Smith | 660 Harrison Avenue | South End

Re: Leggat McCall proposal | Between Harrison Ave and Albany St | South End How incredibly shortsighted. The article doesn't mention it but I would presume that the additional open space for the extra height is off the table. Is there really that big of a difference between a 19 story building...

So if the property was to be considered one parcel, and they set aside 20% for educational uses would the other 80% be taxable or is it all or nothing?

    Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

I am saying that I find it hard to believe that the city had no excess space over the past two decades where they could have relocated certain departments to, some of which are not required to be centrally located. I am not a big fan of taking private properties off of the tax roles either...

    Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

I am certain that if this was such an important issue severely impacting their "work" that they could have leased some satellite space close by at some point or shuffled some nonessential groups to other municipal space over the past 20 years. Space planning is not all that difficult. But hey...
