My guess it that'll be the case. The first of BeeLine's pics from yesterday seem to show the building about at about one third of the current height of the crane, and the building itself is about one third to its final height (9 floors, bottom two being 1.5 times normal size), maybe even less...

If you can see the crane now from any particular vantage point, you'll be able to see the building. This will be 30 stories and, what, 370 feet? As someone (kz1000ps?) said a while back, this should anchor the whole area.

There are real problems with ownership in Chinatown, but this is infuriating. You do realize that "Harrison/Tyler/Hudson between Kneeland and Beach" is the heart of Chinatown? That actual, real people live and work there? That they don't want to move out so people like you can enjoy more boring...

Yeah, that's a huge win. Maybe someone better informed can correct me, but it seems like paying $380,000 for each affordable unit that was supposed to be constructed onsite won't result in anywhere near the same amount of units being constructed offsite, because construction costs per unit...

I agree about the city staying away that stuff, but I think this is a private development.
