Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

It does feel very strange that no one is proposing resi towers here, where it would be an easy sell and lots of $$ could be made.

Alexandra Hotel Renovation | 1769 Washington St | Roxbury

There's no hotels really in the South End, which is a pain for locals with family visiting and for tourists who want to stay in a neighborhood, especially given Boston's tight AirBnB rules. People are paying well over 300 a night to stay at a holiday inn off of 93 in Charlestown, near...

975 Boylston | Mass DOT Parcel 13 | Boylston & Mass Ave | Back Bay

Looks like a slightly more varied version of the Midtown Hotel redevelopment. Seems a little silly not to go much taller here, esp given the zoning for the bank across the street and what will likely come up at Parcel 15, but nice looking building.

    Roxbury Infill and Small Developments

The 1149-55 Harrison Building is pretty crazy. 3 stories, surface parking, well below even the city's paltry density limits. Wondering what the story is here...exactly 10 units doesn't buy you relief, nor does limiting yourself to 3 stories?

Alexandra Hotel Renovation | 1769 Washington St | Roxbury

Boston has had one of the tightest, if not the tightest, hotel market in the continental US for years now. Construction costs would be hard to see given this building is already over 6 stories and needs a gut rehab. We can be friendly here.

Alexandra Hotel Renovation | 1769 Washington St | Roxbury

Why did they shrink the glass hotel portion? These developers are insane.

Boston Tech Center Redevelopment | 176 Lincoln Street | Brighton

Good case for off-site here given that offsite is literally 3 blocks away

Often in surprising ways, though, such as these most recent proposals.

    75 Morrissey Boulevard | Dorchester

Great lesson in where to and not to put parks. Under the "75 Morrissey" is the well located "Community Park". The family park looks like fumes park.

    Roxbury Infill and Small Developments

These articles are silly until the City allows black developers to build infill and towers near Nubian (they resist it tooth and claw) and until they allow market rate housing there in volume, which is needed to have residents who can spend there

    Allston-Brighton Infill and Small Developments

It's rather strange how all these Allston side street projects go up, but the ones on Cambridge and Harvard Streets barely move (the above being the rare exception)

Mission Hill Infill and Small Developments

lolololol also we don't need another community garden next to a community garden. just build homes!

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

When it was wet today, it looked much better for precisely this reason.

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

Even if you don't like it, the materials quality is high, it looks way better than the photos, and comparison to the WHOOP building is moronic. I work 2 blocks away and see it every day. It's nice!

    Lab/Office | 109 Brookline Avenue | Fenway

There's also a medical office building that looks tallish, but is half parking. Some weird stuff on those blocks.

Back Bay Infill and Small Developments

What's the story behind this last one? I used to live nearby and never understood what was up there.

Expected completion of the whole thing....2040?
