You’re creating quite a paradox here. A lot of NU students complain about the quality of certain dorms, specifically the LPs. The whole point of this building is for the university to get out of those LPs (as part of a plan with the city) to not only appease said students who are not satisfied...

The "feels-like" temperature has been in the negatives for the past few days. And that's on the ground. I can't imagine how cold it must be up there for those guys.

Residents in Lightview were invited to a focus group a few days ago regarding that space in the lobby of Lightview. It’ll probably be filled sooner rather than later.

Surprise, surprise, but the massing of the building has changed again. Height is slightly lower and there's a few less beds. The massing now more so "goes towards the center" of the plot of land.

Exactly my point. Half of the NEU student body just assumes anything below the OL tracks is just immediately "Roxbury" without even considering the fact the you could argue the South End is a thing. It's definitely cutting it close, however.

What I don't get about this argument that if they consider the 840 Columbus lot as being in Roxbury, then EXP is virtually in Roxbury also. So, it's not like they could throw housing up where EXP is instead and suddenly not have any concerns about expanding into Roxbury.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. It’s not even like the university is evicting current community members from their houses to build this residential development. They’re specifically building on an empty parking lot for the sake of the surrounding community.

Hard to make out, but the site is active tonight! NUPD has set up detours while some pretty big trucks are heading in. It’s hard to tell, but in the middle of the second picture something is going vertical which I can only assume is for the previously discussed crane
