Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

I'm just gonna say it: I like it, and I think y'all are over reacting.

New-build classical architecture (evoking old styles)

I second your confusion. Additionally, Virginia is going hod-wild with dense TOD. Yet, it's all the same stroads and subdivisions! We are so close, yet so far.

We've never moved past towers in a park.

That gap in the Rapid Busway bugs me, both because it is visually disjointed, and because the southbound carriageway on Seaver St was, in fact, once a streetcar ROW that could be repurposed for buses today.

Roads and Highways General Development Thread

I will once again ask people to stop making up strawmen arguments about poor people driving into Manhattan. It's pure suburban car brain.

Union Square Somerville Infill and Small Developments

While I appreciate the public space, a building made of cinder blocks and exposed metal isn't the most inviting place I can think of.

Have the stress of the holidays gotten to everyone? Jesus Christ, yall need to step away from this forum and relax. You've all been here long enough to know how to act. I'm locking this for a week.

Commonwealth Pier Revitalization (née Seaport WTC)| 200 Seaport Boulevard | Seaport

That looks... not great. Maybe it's the pictures. But it looks like a facadectomy, and the back end is cheap.

It really isn't clear that those dashes mean "walking distance".

Architecture for the homeless and drunks to use as a bathroom.

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

I have many fond, fuzzy memories of smoking pot in that spot when I was in college.

NYC City Council Shifts Broker Fees From Renters to Landlords

As a former realtor myself, good. There are far too many terrible realtors screwing over renters. That will never go away entirely, but this should greatly reduce the practice. The only argument I do buy is that landlords will factor this into the rent. So I expect to see more 18 month leases...

    New York City Congestion Pricing

Hochul looks weak with everything she does. This is just the most recent poor decision. She is only Governor because Andrew Cuomo needed to balance out the ticket. She's really bad at her job.
