    MA Casino Developments

Not to argue your point but you can't compare the Mass Ave bridge to Alford Street. One has beautiful skyline and sunset views and is always crowded due to being a major connection between two very pedestrian heavy areas. The walking route from Sullivan to the proposed casino is ugly, industrial...

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

GLUT GLUT GLUT Somerville is DOOMED to become a more desirable place to live. Are a couple that stick out that have pissed me off. The sensationalism is very aggravating, I feel like I'm reading Fox News for development. I still visit though because it's good for updates.

    Somerville Infill and Small Developments

Well it looks better than that crappy 3 story building on Somerville Ave. You'd think this site could support a couple more floors though. In other news this building looks like construction is beginning; http://www.somervillema.gov/sites/default/files/documents/Plans53Kent.pdf Here's a good...

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

if you are using mozilla, click to open it with private browsing. The article basically just says that Gerding Edlin (of 315 on A in Fort Point) is being recruited to help with the development. Not sure how this relates to what went on with Columbus Center (ie whether or similar partnerships...

The Alcott (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End

Re: Garden Garage Towers (Basketball City) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End hey come on man, I want to show whig some very "urban" pics I took on the Arlington/Lexington border, don't ruin it for me! In all seriousness, there doesn't seem to be much happening on this apartment building. I...

The Alcott (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End

Re: Garden Garage Towers (Basketball City) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End I've lived in this area and walked most of these streets extensively, there is a huge difference between Cambridge and even East Arlington that's easy to notice if you are paying attention. The Cambridge side has more...

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

This an also the fact that you aren't dealing with a massive body of water like Eastie or Chelsea, it's just a highway we are talking about. Really the connections already exist to walk or bike - I do it all the time and it's fine, just unpleasant to the point where others probably wouldn't want...

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

The map is a bit crazy with pretty much every acre other than the buildings for the shopping plazas shaded - including the parking lot. I guess that means they are going to try and deal with that problem. Assembly won't come close to meeting it's full potential till it connects with the rest of...

The security guard seemed nice enough, and gave the impression he was just taking orders from above. When I questioned him he told me he'd try to get in touch with his employer at FRIT, but I told him to forget it and that I'd investigate the matter on my own. I'll try and contact them tomorrow...

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

Today at around 3:30 pm, was walking around this area, a camera around my neck, not even taking pictures. One of their security guys stopped me, told me it wasn't ok to take pictures if it was for "commercial purposes". I informed him it wasn't, but frankly it's none of his or FRIT's business...

Proto | 88 Ames St | Kendall Square | Cambridge

Re: Ames Street Residence/88 Ames Str./Kendall Sq./Cambridge Think of it as your daily living environment, the place you've called home for years, often struggling, being completely transformed without you having any say whatsoever. On top of that, those doing the transformation have zero to...

Across the street from Saks and 5th, which is at the lower corner of the Phase I build out in this picture. It's just grass in this render. It would be east of Grand Union Blvd. Not really, there is some store frontage but not much, it's a pretty dismal walk. The other side I think is...

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Re: Site in Hub top choice for a soccer stadium I think this would be bad for the city and hope it doesn't happen. Inner Belt/Brickbottom is too valuable real estate for a behemoth like a stadium, even a "smaller" soccer one. The land should be reserved for what the city needs - residential...

    Hancock of the day...

Thanks, though there no fancy tricks. Just a cheap but decent zoom lens on Prospect Hill monument just as the sun is going down, early enough to still be in business hours. Don't even need a tri-pod, just rested the camera on the wall and propped it up with the camera strap. I love these kinds...
