Public Transit from Durham - Manchester

And I know NH doesn't spend much money, but this is one area they could. I think the Boston Express is great and they need to expand that to Portsmouth and other areas. Durham is fine, they can get to Portsmouth, then could go to Manchester. Thanks Anyways Anyone else know of anything? So my...

Public Transit from Durham - Manchester

Anyone know of any transit from Durham NH that will get one to Manchester or near? Or at least any way to look it up? I am having trouble finding any info on this. Probably because it is non existent (which seems bad to me.) It would save me a trip from driving all the way to Durham to pick up...

    Manchester Infill & Small Developments

Manchester competes against local suburbs? In what way, I am curious, I am asking, not a rhetorical question. Manchester has little in terms of inner city housing for middle class to high class. This is an important thing to address. And some of it is being done with the Residence at Manchester...

Although the Market Basket is not more "urban" they did try to make it appeal to the area with a brick facade and have a "mill city" type appearance which I actually love. I know there could have been better things, but reusing much of the same building is not the end of the world. And I think...

    Portsmouth Pics

I think you are thinking of commercial street. Canal street is just a very wide road. Two lanes both ways (four lanes total). And it is split with a median. But the funny thing is, no matter what time of the day it is, no one ever seems to really be on that road (foot, bike, or car, I think the...

    Portsmouth Pics

FLMike, then run for a position in the city leadership (not joking.) Portsmouth is very popular from UNH Durham, which is growing constantly. I have had many friends, and my brothers, attend that school, and Portsmouth is the place to go. And yes, many tourists go there. It is a very nice place...

    Manchester Infill & Small Developments

Oh yeah I know it is not just Manchester. But I am looking specifically at an area where they want to promote the expansion of urban style development yet the zoning is different. Whey do cities and towns not change their zoning more easily? It always seems to be in the way of what they want to do.

Hey, FLMike may know, but I was looking at the city maps (zoning) and the area on Granite Street near the proposed Granite Landing and the controversial liquor store is "general business zoning" which is basically, South Willow Street. If the city wants to basically expand the downtown area...

    Windham/Salem Exit 3 on 93

I think that would be smart to have more direct access to the airport. Personally, I hate how there are no bridges into Merrimack without going all the way to Manchester or through Nashua. The new airport exit will do little to help. And I bet there is no continuation of the airport exit to 93...

    Worcester Approves $583M City Square

OK, got it. Yeah those are some good dogs, cheap, good, meal. just how I think most food places should be, not enough. Another good food place near by in Shrewsbury is Taco Acopolcos on Route 9, driving East it is on your right before the new Price Chopper. Cheap, authentic, good, Mexican food.

    Worcester Approves $583M City Square

It is the "turtle love boy" he is" riding the turtle? I do not know, it is a very popular statue because of its awkward appearance. The turtles face is priceless. It is art, take it how you want to. I am just surprised that the city of Worcester would pick this sculpture. Here (different angles):

    Windham/Salem Exit 3 on 93

And it is closed for good. Saw it in the new paper. and drove by, an innocent "customer" walked to the door, and then froze. Then read, and walked back to their car. Sad times.

    Windham/Salem Exit 3 on 93

Well, this is a Salem post, not on the highway 93 work, but Salem related rather than adding a new thread. I read a post on FB of a friend, that Mike's Red Barn in Salem is closing. I really liked this place, best sausage ever! So I am not 100% sure it is true, but will post once i drive by...

    Manchester Infill & Small Developments

So I have no idea (i forget) if this was ever talked about here, or on another thread, but http://www.outletsyes.com/ Apparently, they actually broke ground on this and I saw in the Union Leader online that Saks (some clothing store) will be going in there, first in NH. As much as these...

On the Cube 3 website they have done plans for the Elliot Hospital, not the new river's edge, but the original. The plans are for a $65 million expansion and renovation of the original facilities.
