I think the Newbry is the dumbest renaming of a building that I've ever seen. They created a word trying to mimic an accent that doesn't exist. Why not just call it "The Newbury"?

I think you'll find that, come summer, the Greenway will also be successful. And what can be improved will not take 20-30 years to improve.

So true. Ron...you have perspective. The Greenway is going to be an indispensable and spectacular part of Boston, just like the Comm. Ave. Mall is now. It hasn't even been open a year yet. Have a little patience people.

The real problem here is that the legislature essentially cut the T off from public funds with the whole Forward Funding debacle.

Southie the neighborhood has always been separated from Downtown. The idea that the Waterfront is Southie is artificial and new. Before the BCEC, it was a bunch of industrial businesses.
