    Worcester Infill and Developments

    > Is the campus gated from the public? nope ... public can pretty much go anywhere. I have to admit, the campus is impressive, it looks more and more like Kendall square, not Worcester.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I'm impressed with the design, the renderings, and what we see so far but more importantly thrilled that this is actually happening. I would have bet and lost that this project would have been scrapped outright a few years ago.

City Hall Plaza Revamp | Government Center

I'm going to loan the City of Boston my power-washer to clean 60 years of filth from the JFK building. It's putrid.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I really like watching the progress now, especially the construction of the massive archway. Too bad there isn't a webcam to monitor this one.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

I can take a picture from NH and it will be completely hidden, along with all of Boston.

    >Otherwise, this ranks down there with 1 Internat'l What? 1 International Place ranks close to the top for me. Lots of distinguishing features and looks great from the harbor.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

When mayor Menino initiated the RFP back about 10 years ago and we saw so many intriguing proposals (reference post #1647 in the link) I can't help but be disappointed that what we have is a rather uninspiring and practically a mirror image of MT. I don't want to sound overly critical but as...

BU Data Sciences Center | 665 Commonwealth Avenue | BU Central

There is no middle ground with this building, you either love it or hate it. I'm still in the latter.

from 6/10 ... not sure if the crane is back in action yet. I'm thinking not.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

These closeups are getting a bit repetitive but what the hell ... just one small missing glass segment from this angle.

me thinks that demo job went to the contractor with the lowest bid. ... "drop ball go bang"

That is very well done and appears to be well lit. Hopefully it will not be marred with graffiti.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

There is a dichotomy here comparing the two cities; yeah, it would be "cool" to have the bright skyline vibe but there is also the needless energy waste to light up the skyline, just for the sake of it. I believe that downtown Miami towers are much more residential / apartments / hotels so there...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I know there is a lot of love in this forum for the Fed Reserve building but it really does look like a giant lego set. I'm sure I'll get hate for it. Whatever.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

    > The original 759’ would have made this the downtown jewel I vaguely recall (emphasis on vaguely) looking at a graph with the height limits imposed by the FAA and believe that this tower is situated right on the edge of one of the zones that doesn't exceed 700 ft. I'm sure that FAA map is...

    Worcester Infill and Developments

I believe the rapid proliferation of the urban malls back in the 70's and 80's was the cause of the decay in Downtown / Main St stores. Now, online shopping, which is driving Amazon warehouses, is the driving force behind the decay of malls. Isn't appropriate that the Greendale Mall was razed to...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

I believe that San Diego has similar FAA restrictions since the airport is in close proximity to their downtown, if you can call it that. Boston's skyline is far superior.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Completely agree. I think SST will be much more prominent in the skyline compared to MT or Winthrop tower. I'm really looking forward to watching that one.

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

I disagree. Another very tall tower so close to the iconic JHT would have diminished it's prominence. I would agree if the location was several blocks away, such as halfway between the Pru and JHT.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Good timing now that Winthrop Tower is winding down and SST will soon go vertical ... another fun one to watch. After SST, I don't think there's much in the pipeline other than a couple of mid-rises.
