4 years for the completion of a tower is not that bad. In the meantime Winthrop Square and One Congress will most likely be completed giving the city 3 new 600' plus towers.

Overall this is a good addition to the West End skyline, IMO. I know some people think this building looks too plain, but I like it.

^You know if One Congress was half the width, it would appear to be taller than it is. ^From this angle, it really looks like the downtown skyline has a lot of gaps. Obviously Winthrop Center will kinda plug a hole as would SST. The opposite angle from Eastie/Logan across the harbor always presents a much "denser" filled out skyline.

See I would think it would be the other way around. That 65+ folks would move to the suburbs where its quieter and higher income (100K+) millenials would flock to the city centers so they can be near the restaurants, theatres, museums, and eateries to meet up with their Hinge/Bumble/Tinder dates.

Is it possible that CBDs will merely be transformed into primarily posh residential neighborhoods instead of commerical business districts? I happened to chat with a lady here in Nashville who works for real estate and one of their properties is the currently U/C 4 seasons tower in Downtown...
