Okay, I'll bite. You've been silent for a year since joining this forum, only posted 15 times, and now you're all over this one. What gives?

The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Perhaps your point is well-taken but in regard specifically to the Mandarin Oriental, those authors were far from hole. Most people who bought there originally, and most owners now, are identifiable and aren't up to anything nefarious. Unless you consider owning the Boston Celtics or running...

Do some building materials have better reputations

I am trying to do research on something and not sure what I'm looking for or how to figure out what I want to know. So I'm writing this post, anyway! It has to do with what is used to build mid-to-high rise residential housing. In the Seaport right now, the Echelon Seaport is going up. It's...

Boston and surrounding areas housing crisis

The city isn't building "nothing but luxury condos". Total number of the "luxury" units in the city of Boston? Around 3,736. Total. And that's including buildings that have been around since 1981. During the past ten years, 1,600 units have been built - 160 a year on average. Four of these...

    Development Map and Chart

Hello, fellow netters. I've been looking on the forum but not sure if we have it: a list / map of just residential developments inside "downtown Boston". Even better if it's just "luxury". On here, there are different versions of things showing different things, but correct me if I'm wrong...

    Amazon HQ2 RFP

The President tweeted that the USPS wasn't charging Amazon enough to deliver the company's packages (he was actually criticizing Jeff Bezos, of course). Putting Amazon next to the new USPS facility in Boston would be a smart move, right? Lol. (Yes, I realize they wouldn't ship from their...

Omni Hotel @ BCEC | Summer St | Seaport

I like the first rendering the best because I can look at it and see exactly where and when my dreams for a mixed-use, 30% residential neighborhood died.

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

One of the few things I was happy to hear about incoming city councilor Ed Flynn is that he's interested in improving Seaport transit, specifically between Broadway and the Seaport down L / Summer street.

    [CANCELED] Summer St. Gondola

You have the BRT using the State Police ramp to get into the Ted Williams Tunnel but the regular SL continues to use the same convoluted route; why?

    Hyatt Place/Ora Seaport (née Parcel K) | 315 Northern Avenue | Seaport

Hmm. Well what's been the plan for this? The parcels appear to be owned by the Commonwealth and not MassPort, not that it makes that much difference in the end, right? I've never heard of anything proposed for here.

    Amazon HQ2 RFP

Oh, boy. Post this on the internet and watch what happens. But, mostly it doesn't, in my opinion. I wouldn't say "entitlement" but 'tis true, everybody seems to think that being able to live on Commonwealth Ave is a right. Well, I guess that means entitlement.
