Damn you Copley Place Tower and the perfect way you would've filled that gap to the right of this!!!

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

If that mess up there qualifies as "aesthetic", then it's an extremely loose interpretation. It's just pure functionality, things that were thrown up there for necessity over the last 60 years. I just think there is a better way, a way to modernize and clean it up. If this is THE building people...

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

While they're up there, I wish they could add some sort of crown to the top to cover up that mess of mechanicals and antennas. They could keep the basic idea of the main antenna mast but beef it up more like the one on the Old Hancock building down the street. I don't think it would've been all...

AstraZeneca/Alexion MXD Tower | 290 Binney Street | Kendall Square

Interesting design and materials... kinda retro, like '70s style almost, something that would've been built in Miami in 1973. It looks like faux wood patterning, which I can't recall seeing around, so that's...different...

    Hotel | 7-9 Hamilton Place | Downtown

I was just speaking aesthetically, but being as buildings mere feet away from it are over 125', it seems silly for that one spot not to be. I just think bumping it closer to 200' would give it that much more visibility and popularity when viewed from the Common, which would be a strong selling...

    Hotel | 7-9 Hamilton Place | Downtown

I love this plan of changing these little alleys, the way the former alley around the corner on Boylston (where the nightclubs used to be and is now, I believe, an Emerson building) was before it got developed. The design is cool and echoes MT and soon Winthrop, but dare I say, it could be a bit...

Petty Arguments Cut From Serious Threads

It's not my actual job, it's part of a committee that I'm on at my job. I attend seminars, and assist with discussions of DEI matters for other employees in our office. I don't get "paid to be offended", in fact I only get a small stipend to do this in my office in addition to my actual job. All...

Petty Arguments Cut From Serious Threads

Gee so sorry to bring some awareness to your world. Get a grip. The discussion is about renders on an architecture website that encompasses society and the community that building lives in. You’re eye rolling peoples’ very existence, including my own and others on this forum. So you’re...

Petty Arguments Cut From Serious Threads

So the program designers and renderers can use different colors and shades for buildings but not people? I would say representation of the diversity of people is far more important than clothing fashions lol. I'm not going to belabor the point, but as someone who is partially responsible for DEI...

Petty Arguments Cut From Serious Threads

It's very clear the lens some people look through in their lives. I guess it's just upbringing, experiences, possibly general disinterest in those around them. This is a major transportation center and for SURE the people using this station over the next few years will look far more diverse than...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

My guess is they have about 6 floors left to pour then mechanicals on top.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I know, I've noticed that as well. They only seem to put people of color in renderings of buildings in Roxbury or something. Pretty clueless for 2022.

    🔹 What's Happening With Project X?

The existing garage casts an even wider shadow across that portion of the Greenway right now.

    🔹 What's Happening With Project X?

Reading the posts about the Buckminster Hotel conversion has me wondering about the Citizen's Bank parcel across the street for the "stalagmite" tower, as one of the other posters here referred to it. Anyone know if that's moving forward and if so when?

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

According to the renders, the very top should end up being right around the bottom of the cab of the crane.

Two Congress | Bulfinch Crossing East Parcel | West End

Ok, so it's certainly not going to win any awards, but all it really needs to not be the awful eyesore some are making out to be, is a change in color from this brassy bronzy ugliness. If this received a grayscale treatment, it would simply exist and the eyes would immediately go to the State...

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

According to info here on the Viola, it will be getting started this year I think. Once that gets underway, I'm confident that the parcels across the street from it next to Kings garage and behind Berklee College will get moving too. Those are the ones that I'm really keeping my fingers crossed...

Bay Village Apartment Tower | 212 Stuart St. | Bay Village

Sorry but the render looks MUCH higher quality. The scalloping/ribbing and glass look busy but the focus is more on that than the glass whereas it's the reverse in the actual build. It looks cheaper and nowhere near as modern now.
