when I went by this AM work was being done on the curbs.

the zoning is set by the 100 Acres Master Plan. Dont know/havent looked to see if they are exceeding open space (or if its set at 50% min required) or limiting FAR (or if its set at 4.3 max allowed).

To get the thread back on track here they aren't building anything in the picture. That is the pedestrian protection to the T still up. On schedule for reopening as discussed above.

agree with the above except the tunnel is not going away, just getting narrower. at least it wasnt last time around, but then again there was going to be a tunnel at Sullivan and now there isnt going to be so not sure about here at Austin St.

thats not accurate at all, as shown by the flood maps. only a small portion of the BH site is even in the 2070 1% flood zone. not sure if its intentional for a narrative or ignorance but here it is, 2070. most of Charlestown is actually pretty well protected except the neck and the infill...

Sullivan area is much more suseptable to flooding than here. Look at the food maps. Not only that but it provides a way in for water to go far to the west.

but the 'zoning' process for this would be Article 80 Large Project Review (as with anything over 50KSF). there arent parking minimums on any of the land uses. zoning doesnt have a say in parking for these projects. there are maximums in place, not minimums, and there has been for over 20...
