Two Congress | Bulfinch Crossing East Parcel | West End

This shot highlights that the real turd here is one Congress. I don't care how it looks on the skyline. I think the lab building looks good. I do agree more residential would help this area more, although not because it would likely produce a taller building. That road design isn't helping much...

    General Infrastructure

I'm trying hard to keep up with all the great suggestions, so I apologize if this has already been floated. Regarding @Charlie_mta suggestion to change the overpass scheme to an underpass for Rt.16, would it make sense to borrow from Sweetser Circle and simplify the approaches, similar to this...

I dig it. I'd rather start with the Art Institute. I get what you're saying about the bank, but I can imagine something like what you describe along the back wall of the building that could bridge the gap between Washington and Boylston. As an example, I had in mind this corner, where there's...

    Quincy General Developments

By the way, Quincy borders Boston and has 4 red line stops. It's clearly part of the greater city, like Malden, Medford, Revere, Watertown, etc, so why don't we put Quincy developments in the Greater Boston dev thread? 128 as a boundary is kinda silly considering the location of the split and...

I think with the Beacon, that park was put there because of the green line tunnel underneath. They likely went back and calculated they could put something small there to fill the gap. No such reason here, that I'm aware of.

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

Strongly disagree. It is popular retail and it fills that odd corner perfectly, and it's a gorgeous building that works well as a gateway marker. Not sure what it's killing since everything sort of stops at rt9 anyway, and it's not because of the dispensary. Why would you want to turn this...

Worcester Historic Aerials or How Urban Renewal Destroyed the Urban Fabric

Aren't you essentially laying out a proposal to reduce car dependence? If I have good connectivity, at a competitive cost, to the job centers in Boston and Providence and can get to other neighborhoods within Worcester relatively painlessly, then the groundwork has been laid for better quality...

Yes, looks much better. They basically need to look at what's already there and take note of how it doesn't take whiz-bang styling to create quality spaces. I understand floor plate requirements are quite different from those during the City Beautiful movement, but it's really up to the...

Longwood Place (Simmons Residential Campus) | 305 Brookline Avenue | Longwood

Massing is similar to the garbage going up around New Balance. It's amazing how they can put in so much stuff and have it feel so desolate and empty. Not urban, just big.
