Vertex Headquarters @ Fan Pier | 11 Fan Pier Blvd, 50 Northern Ave | Seaport

Re: Fan Pier A couple items of note: 1. Site prep happening at the residential buildings' sites. Turner has a sign posted now as well. 2. The two trailers next to Louis - a boat building school(?) and a sailing school.

So...I took a walk to check this out in order to confirm my predisposition against it, and I am man enough to admit that I am very pleasantly surprised how much I like it. The "snailishness" is much less apparent in person. It feels like dandilions blowing in the breeze...AND there's no way my...

My 7 year can do that. "Ritchie uses abstraction on a very grand scale to visualize information about systems of time, the creation of the universe, theories in physics, and the history of art"...yada, yada, pretentious art-babble, yada yada...really??? I don't buy it. It looks like a snail...

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

Re: Innovation Dist. / South Boston Seaport (Apologies for the lousy cell phone picture) Things are getting "real" at the PWC site. The sheeting (correct term???) has been driven into the seaport fill approx. 30% around the site now. Note the crane for Pier 4 and Waterside Place in the distance.

Ha, funny...yeah, in retrospect, "proud" is a bit excessive - that particular word was more of a knee jerk reaction to the snobbishness of Shepard's post. But I do like being in my late 40's...sure beats the obstacle course of my 20's and 30's!

^as a middle-aged white man (and proud to be one) - why would I need to wear a mask to celebrate diversity? Last time I checked, they're not mutually exclusive. You don't have to be gay or a minority to appreciate the richness of a culturally diverse city.

    MA Casino Developments

A couple of salient points regarding this so-called renaissance: 1. This year PA had to allocate $6.4M to address compulsive gambling. What does that tell you? 2. "Last November, a couple left three kids—a 10-month-old girl, a three-year-old boy and a 10-year-old boy—in a minivan while they...

I wonder if Wynn has any sense of humanity left. This location is perfect for redistributing the wealth - but in the WRONG direction. The demographics in Everett, Somerville, Medford, Malden and most of Charlestown are no different than those in East Boston and Revere. Regarding access -...

I actually love the ramp parcel in front of Rowes Wharf. The walkway weaves sinuously between landscaping that has grown in beautifully. The ramps themselves are barely an issue here. The other two ramp parcels are, to put it kindly, lacking.
