Re: Green Line to Medford to start in 2011
And by the time that's finished, I hope the final section (bridge across the Charles River to North Station) is also well underway.

Do you find the North Bank bridge 'scary'? I don't.
The path needs to meet ADA guidelines, so it's not going to have any really steep climbs or descents.
(And I'd rather walk or bike on a bridge than in a tunnel.)
Re: Green Line to Medford to start in 2011
The work from Cedar to Lowell is already going on. They just removed part of a parking lot on Cedar that was encroaching on the right-of-way.
I don't understand why that underpass isn't officially open, as all the construction was finished by last October.
Legoland is scheduled for a May 23 opening.
Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End
but the current escalator faces towards the TD Garden. Why would there be any need to change that?
It could ruin your rims and wheels, though. I believe repeated use of it loosened my headset.
I've heard it's also well-known to taxi drivers who want to avoid the Tobin Bridge tolls.
I saw it on Universal Hub here:

and they link to a statement from NECN.
I don't see why Charles and Beacon would be affected by the marathon at all. Also, why would the city of Boston tell Hubway to delay placing stations in Brookline?
Going off topic slightly, but you'd be surprised how popular the North Bank bridge is, between Cambridge and Charlestown. Which is threaded through a large amount of highway and railroad infrastructure.
