Why are office towers on the rise again in Boston?

In San Francisco they're building a couple of 800footers and a 1000 to 1200 footer. That, to me, makes more sense. But, San Francisco is a bit more bold, architecturally, than Boston. That said, I like Boston's architecture, over all, better than I like San Francisco's.

Why are office towers on the rise again in Boston?

I think we still need these 40 story towers or Menino's skyscraper is gonna look sort of strange.

So, the building was designed by Moshe Safdie. He's done some interesting buildings. I'm not sure about this one. I'd like to see more drawings.

Does anybody have information as to what, for sure, is happening? I'm confused about how the land is going to be put to use. Are there still plans for two museums and have they been designed? Will there be a greenhouse and a YMCA built? Is there a skateboard park? Will there be outdoor art? Who...

I agree. It would have to be more sedate than some od his others. But he's the sort of architect who would make a statement,

Well, if it does happen (I have my doubts) I'd love to see design proposals by Santiago Calatrava or Renzo Piano.

I love that building too! I was under the impression that a lotof people didn't like it. I think it's really cool looking as you walk towards it from the Christian Science Center.

Yeah, I'm glad the term "Ladder District" never really caught on. Bostonians don't buy into that stuff too easily.

Hi, new here. Don't know if anybody has been following but there seems to be a pattern happening in a lot of major cities right now. San Francisco just anounced a 1000 footer today, as well. Baltimore and Nashville are also talking about a building that height. I really hope Boston does this...
