    Waterside Place 1A | 505 Congress Street | Seaport

ablarc, I agreed with everything you said about the South Boston Waterfront, except with this particular parcel. And that it is because of this parcels location over a maze of highway ramps. A large building project is the best fit for this location. The city has these mega parcels for a...

    Back Bay turnpike ramps

Am I the only one who think removing storrow drive would be a mistake? It moves 100,000 cars a day! The big dig just fixed the roads major flaw which was the Leverret Circle. If this traffic moves to the Masspike you just created a new 'central artery' with un-correctable traffic problems...

GrandMarc Residence Hall (YMCA) @ Northeastern U | 291 St. Botolph Street | Fenway

If this is the project from the front of the Boston Courant, then they are talking about the YMCA site fronting St. Botolph. In the rendering it also looks like another building across the street either in Mathews Arena parking lot or on the Gainsborough Garage site. When I hear 'Fenway' I...

    Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

I hope not. If its breeding mosquitos then it becomes a wetland and may now be protected. Then the only way they could build there would be to replicate the wetland on another nearby lot. :)

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

If that project did provide that much open space maybe all the people fighting against the development would be happy? Actually what are people complaining about with this project? There are no direct abutters. Is main complaint regarding the Lechmere relocation?

    Northeastern eyes dorms

I'm glad to see Northeastern Building in this area. In general Northeastern is doing a lot of work to improve and expand there campus. However, I had always hoped that this parcel would be used as part of a traffic improvement project to align Ruggles street with Melina Cass Blvd. Today this...

Harvard's Laboratory for Integrated Science and Engineering

I agree that this probably isn't going to win any awards, but the change in panel color works in making the building appear smaller than it really is.

    BCA plaza redesign winner

Hamersley's outdoor seating takes up most of that space in the summer. I hope the new design doesn't eliminate that with the outdoor theater or what ever else is being proposed.

David Fisher's Dubai tower will rotate 360 degrees (wtf?)

They're going to make a prime time television drama called Dubai? :D

    Harvard - Allston Campus

Good thing Harvard wasn't looking to build a really tall building or this list would have been much longer.

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

Thanks for the photo tour kz1000ps. You really do a good job and I almost felt like I was the one walking the greenway yesterday. Now for my comments about this surface restoration...... I always knew there was going to be open space, but this is borderline ridiculous. This is supposed to...

Mandarin Oriental | 776 Boylston St | Back Bay

Now that is some marketing.

Mandarin Oriental | 776 Boylston St | Back Bay

I'm going to give my two cents .... 1) If this were limestone I think the joints would be real. 2) Such a thin and long header would require a lintel for structural support. 3) Natural stone in such large pieces would be expensive and I don't think they would spend the money on the back...

Atlantic Wharf (née Russia Wharf) | Atlantic Ave | Waterfront

Has any noticed the tall building on the other side of Atlantic Ave in the 2nd rendering? Looks to be just under 600 ft and there are two 4 to 5 story buildings on that site now (seen in the 1st rendering). Is this a real project or just added to make Russia wharf look not quite as tall?

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

The only way these three would 'find there way to fan pier' is if they were looking for there cars.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I believe the south station project was resurrected in 1998. The idea had already been around since the '80's and was shelved during the economic slowdown of the early ninety's.

    Hynes renovation

I like this idea. I honestly can not remember ever seeing a vehicle use this covered drive in front of the Hines. Always thought this side of the street needed something and this is it.

Columbus Center: RIP | Back Bay

There were over 200 meetings with the neighborhood. That is absurd!!! Most of the issues were purely selfish reasons from individuals of the Ellis neighborhood association (with their president that lives across the street at 75 Clarendon). The fight against the height and the endless list of...

GrandMarc Residence Hall (YMCA) @ Northeastern U | 291 St. Botolph Street | Fenway

That's a big dorm. Might be the project replacing the Gainsborough garage?

Fort Point Infill and Small Developments

I like it. Moving the convention center to close that gap on summer street is a great idea.
