Wow what a great new layout. I wasn't overly excited about this project as it was a few months ago but now it's like a little city. Somebody with talent post the last two pages layout pics. Notice an area labeled "outdoor beer garden"? Hmmmm

    Bay House Portland construction started

That was known long long ago that they weren't going to open another Village Cafe in there. IT was floated around in the beginning but nobody in the family is up for that.

There's no way in hell they're building that expensive of an arena in Saco just for them. Like you said, there's also no way the Coyotes will sign off on letting them play in Lewiston for 2-3 more years. There are other teams knocking on the door waiting for Petrovik to move out of the 50 mile...

Not even joking, could that tramway work? I would think it would be an attraction for all the tourists and actually a way for people to get across. It would have to be super high though wouldn't it?

Matt I was thinking more of the ones on the westbrook line like Super 8, Travelodge, Fireside Inn, etc. Love all the people bitching here about us getting all these new hotels under construction yet time and time again we hear stories of people like you not being able to get a room. We will...

Hotels can be really expensive in portland but if you can afford the ones downtown you are best to do that. There are some shady shitty ones on the outskirts of the city and you don't want that. What dates are you looking for?

Well gonna need to know a few things Matt. You coming alone, with somebody, with kids, got a hotel, like beer, like food, like hipsters.....oh wait you don't have a choice with the last one. You better like them or you're in trouble. Handy resource here at least for the food/drink part. Hit...

Interesting they wanna go 120 feet there. That will look much better coming in from 295 south than the previous designs. Any issues with height being near the airport? Can't imagine 120 feet would cause anything

Totally agree. We've gone from all brick to mixed brick to these crap looking places. Everybody is afraid to present something new. Hopefully Midtown shakes things up a bit.

And we have passage 6 to 3. Little shocked Duson went yay on this, I was ready to bash her. Nice work Jill. The ones that voted no made very good points and were graceful knowing it was not going to pass. And yes seeing that poll with a 1000 votes 55% in favor of selling was funny as hell...

Somebody on a local restaurant website said they heard the word on the street is that legal seafood is looking at or going in the Marriott being built on commercial st. I love eating local too but I think it would be a huge statement to get them anchoring that end of commercial st

Did anybody watch the stream or go to that meeting last night about Congress Square Plaza wherre they took over 3 hours of public comment? It would have been funny if I didn't live here to watch that. I know many of you on this board lean left(politically I mean) but if you don't think that the...

Instead of the white I'd like seeing brick but not Portland skyline brick. Something really dark, almost wood like. Kind of like the Clarendon building in boston.

Corey I think the details of the garage are far better than that pic. Lol at the person talking about hoping for more brick. Yeah, and I wish for more cold days in the winter.
