    Nashua vs. Portland

For the record I don't like Grittys beer, despite my name. I like Allagash, Maine Beer Company, Rising Tide, Marshall Wharf, and Oxbow for Maine beers. This place will be my new home. I'm going to rent out a barstool...

    Nashua vs. Portland

Read it has a couple bad neighborhoods. City data shows Portland crime way higher though So am I right to say Portsmouth is a better city at a 1/3 the size?

    Nashua vs. Portland

I have a friend who moved to Nashua and we're joking around on what city is better. I've never been to Nashua but I know it's about 25% bigger than Portland. Then I start looking up pics and whatnot. What the hell? It looks smaller than Portsmouth. I can't find any pic that shows an actual...

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

They've started the construction or reconfiguring of that commercial street building where Starbucks is supposedly going. Also there is a for sale/development sign next to Brian Boru where the Cianbro trailers for the civic center construction are. Could build something nice there.

    Bay House Portland construction started

Pretty desirable neighborhood. Right near the ocean, the eateries on that end of commercial and middle street, and it's close enough to the old port for a couple minute walk and far enough that you won't deal with yahoos every night.

    Portland Bayside

Yep, I know somebody fairly high up in Boulos and he said Joe is pretty much done with the city. He's one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and they strung him up with the civic center/convention center/hotel proposal. That project was awesome and that pos Baldacci lied to their faces...

    Portland Bayside

Come on MaineJeff, you're better than this. Is Back Bay Tower a low income slum? Is Baxter Place low income?(I lived there and paid over 1300 a month). Of all the places that could turn slum, why would a sparkling new high end development surrounded by retail and amenities in the heart of...

    Portland Bayside

I don't care how tall they are, I care about the city acting like ten extra feet would make fire hail from the sky Name a building over 8 stories in Portland that would look better than this one assuming the sketch is accurate? I can't name one. So we're going to drive a company out over a...

"I don't agree with your "take what we can get" attitude. You don't just build stuff......any stuff.......to get "stuff"." This isn't something they proposed yesterday and we approved today. Bayside master plan was years in the making and this project has been over a year with tons of redo's...

    Portland Bayside

Got so mad reading that last night. I heard from a friend that has dealt with federated before that they said Portland was the hardest city they've ever dealt with planning a project. That was a year ago, can't imagine what they think now. I hope the board will be Proud of themselves when...
