From what I can tell, based on the renders, the Sand People will be quite pleased with the design.

That's real brickwork...no panels there. Been watching them work during my lunch breaks

For what it's worth, Citgo may not be Venezuelan owned in the near future. Apparently companies that lost billions of dollars via Venezuela's expropriation of assets could seize US-based Citgo refineries as compensation (I read this in Forbes...I'll try and find the article). Not sure the...

That's an articulating boom for the concrete pump. That's how they pour the concrete for each floor.

Or...open the dam a bit more frequently. Provide better connectivity for diadromous fish, AND attenuate the epic eutrophication and pollutant issues upstream of the dam. The dam has been poorly managed in this regard for eons.

I agree that taller would definitely improve the AR and help the design overall. However, my contention is that its only a solution if the building's (ugly) facade design does not call attention to itself. If it does, improvements to AR won't really help much. In fact, it may just make it more...

I work on Causeway Street and noticed them taking the panels down too. The first panels they had put up started to wash out/lose their color, so i wonder if the performance issues are the cause of the removal.

Re: Longfellow Place (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End 1. Garage Demo 2. Slurry walls 3. Dig hole for 830 underground spaces 4. Go vertical I probably missed 15 other steps in between, but my thinking is the demo and excavation for the parking are the drivers of the...

Yeah, I've noticed it as well. It makes me wonder how the Seaport is going to hold up.

OH NO! THE BOATS! DREDGE EVERYTHING! Sorry, being a wetland ecologist, I tend to be cynical when I hear things similar to that. How many docks, piers, marinas, etc. exist in Boston Harbor? How much inter-tidal area exists? Hmmmm... That being said, I fully support this project. I should...

I hope they don't dredge the river. Intertidal zones are a critical part of our coastal ecosystems, and something that I would imagine being rather unique along the Mystic, since that reach of the river has been FUBAR for a long time.

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I swung by my office today, and noticed them taking down the crane that was used to construct the podium for the office tower. It could mean that 1) they don't believe phase III will kick off anytime soon, or 2) they are installing the crane at new location on site, similar to what they did for...

They now have wall wrap along the entirety of the walls that separate where they are demolishing the old MBTA ticket booths from the rest of North Station. The graphics show the site at full build-out (among other things), oriented such that the latest iteration of our new favorite office tower...

Dock Square Parking Garage | 20 Clinton Street | Downtown

Re: Dock Square Parking Garage, 20 Clinton Street The only sounds I hear are the sounds of clanging pitchforks and North Ender's heads exploding. I personally don't think this is happening. Not this iteration. I hope I'm wrong.

Re: Longfellow Place (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End Great to see this moving forward...though, between the demo and the underground parking, it's going to be painful waiting for this thing to go vertical. Wake me up in a year and a half.

    121 Seaport Boulevard | Parcel L2 | Seaport Square

I agree. I stopped by 1 seaport square to return something at LL Bean. They were having a grand opening shindig which had an ok crowd. Beyond that, there were some people along Seaport Ave., and the memorial park, but everywhere else, including fan pier was dead. The area has a long way to...
