South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Exchange Place, Atlantic Wharf, 75 High Street, Intercontinental Hotel, 200 State Street, Bullfinch Place and South Station Tower. Yep, not much all glass in that area. 🤣

MGH Ragon Building | 55 Fruit Street | West End

Is this nice building going to be ripped down?

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Let’s be fair now. It has only been 18 years.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Evidently not. All the glass is so bland and boring. They even turned One Post Office Square into just another glass box.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Anyone know if the other residential building is still being built?

Hurley Building Redevelopment | 19 Staniford St | West End

Not a big fan of the shorter tower, but it will be such a huge improvement to the neighborhood and long overdue. Please start construction soon please!

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

You would never have been able to build something of substantial height at that location right across from the Public Garden.

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

Agree about that. Miss the Top Of The Hub and JH Observation area. There used to be one in the old Hancock building as well before the tower was open. At least we still have Custom House deck that few people know about.

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

Why would you think it would ever be accessible to the public even if it were not Bain? Can’t think of many office building's upper floors are open to the public. People pay enormous amounts of money to have office spaces in these buildings and do not want outsiders entering and wandering around...

MGH Ragon Building | 55 Fruit Street | West End

The MGH building will be much taller, so much of the Hotel will be blocked from many angles. Agree on One Post Office. Should have never been turned to another glass box.

Encore Boston Harbor Casino | 1 Broadway | Everett

Have only eaten at the On Deck Burger Bar. Waited about a half hour for just an ok burger. Many of the restaurants there quite pricey.

Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

I might be in the minority, but I think the new building is pretty decent looking by the renderings. Hope it turns out well. That entire block has been so dead for so long.

Probably the only way it will get any attention from City Hall is to build more bike lanes.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

It can clearly be seen from that Rozzie view.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

There are reasons why one must travel on a flight originating in New York. The train is not ideal to transfer on with luggage and would cost a person many extra costs. If feeder flights to New York were not necessary, they would have been discontinued long ago.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

Many people often take international flights out of JFK or EWR for routes that Logan does not service. That Boston New York route is important. It is not the way it once was with shuttles. Those days are over and the train more efficient if you want to take your chances with Amtrak.

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

Why are there open spaces at the top of the JHT? Aren’t they usually covered!

Middlesex County Courthouse Redevelopment | 40 Thorndike St | East Cambridge

My condo overlooks the new version of the building and it is such a much more pleasant view than the old hulk was. Waited a long time for this renovation.

Stranger things have certainly happened, and will probably continue to happen the way things are going. 😀👍🏼

    The New Retail Thread

They were scouting a Bloomingdale’s location in the Back Bay a number of years ago, but finally seemed to give up the idea. Don’t think it would work in that area if they didn’t open elsewhere in the city. Other options you mentioned are possible. We will have to see what happens.
