    Portland International Jetport | PWM

My thought too. Unless they're offering connections at HVN (Which I don't think HVN is set up to do) I don't see how this would be successful. Portland to New Haven is only about a 3 1/2 hour drive. Close enough that driving would probably be faster than flying if you count ground time on either...

Old Port Square (née Canal Plaza) | Portland

Another example....277 5th Avenue in Manhattan. Although it's almost twice as tall as the proposed Canal Plaza tower....it has a floorplate of ~6,500 SF and the tower measures 80' X 80'

Old Port Square (née Canal Plaza) | Portland

This is what 80' X 80' would look like on the 45 Union Street site. This would give the building a floorplate of about 6,500 SF. It looks like a tight fit, but the B3 zone is quite permissible not only with height, but also setbacks and lot coverage.

Old Port Square (née Canal Plaza) | Portland

Word on the street from someone who works at Woodard & Curran is 30 stories and ~360' feet from ground floor to the top of the architectural cap.

    Portland International Jetport | PWM

JetBlue has been shifting some of their A321’s with Mint seats onto northeast-Florida routes this winter. Maybe we’ll see some upgauging and/or additional frequency in the future. Hopefully B6 sees that there’s still a strong local market here and makes PWM-JFK year round again too.

    Kennebec Block

This portion of the block is actually owned by Revler / Port Properties and is included in their Bayside Master Development Plan. I assume there is some kind of ongoing discussion between Redfern and Revler regarding either the sale or joint development of this portion of the block. ...Which is...

Mercy Hospital | 144 State Street | Portland

Between Washington Avenue and the E.Perry Metal site...I think Redfern will have their hands busy for a while! (I hope)

    Portland International Jetport | PWM

I think they are valid questions to be raised about why the Jetport is pursuing such an impactful project when there are other alternatives available. Looking through the public comments, pretty much everyone acknowledges, that the Jetport will need additional parking in the future. The focus is...

Time & Temp Building / Brown St. Parking Garage Redevelopment | Portland

I'm skeptical. I assume this is just developers rushing to get hotel applications in before the moratorium kicks in next week as a way to "keep their options open" because any hotel application submitted before 12/4 is "grandfathered in" and won't be subject to the moratorium or any changes to...

    General Portland Discussion

This is the final Downtown / Bayside height map approved by the City Council as part of ReCode. A few things to note: - The Canal Plaza block has been rezoned to 325 feet, this would allow the proposed "Cow Tower" to move ahead - The Midtown parcels have been rezoned to 180 feet. - The Herald...

Herald Square | 385 Congress St | Portland

It's probably a way to help offset the financial impact of providing the 25% inclusionary zoning for the residential phase of the project.

Herald Square | 385 Congress St | Portland

I’m hearing that this project is being revised significantly and that the developer is proposing a music venue / event center instead of residential along Cumberland Ave. while keeping the hotel and residential towers along Congress.

    Portland International Jetport | PWM

I Stand corrected. It looks like 2-3x daily to IAD starting 5/21. Interestingly, this leaves MHT with no service to New York City.

Meanwhile 77 miles away... United announced today that they're joining Delta in pulling out of MHT. Ending MHT-EWR/IAD by May. This leaves AA as the only legacy carrier in Manchester.

Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

This really feels like they're just "throwing Sh*t at the wall to see what sticks" They haven't even been able to lease out the first (much smaller) proposed office building closer to Market Basket....They also seemingly haven't made any progress on their myriad of other "phases" (residential...

Market Basket is coming to The Downs. Making this their 4th location in Maine and 2nd in the Portland area. https://www.pressherald.com/2024/11/20/new-market-basket-coming-to-the-downs-in-scarborough/ Personally, I wish this was a Trader Joes or an Aldi

Pretty amazing statistic: In both July and August, United’s PWM-DEN had one of the highest load factors in United’s entire domestic network. With a load factor of…get this….96.4% !!!

SNA has a runway 1,500 feet shorter than PWM and yet still manages to accommodate transcon flights to EWR and JFK. I think we're ok with our "Sm-edium" runway :)
