There's no sign of a façade sampler on site - or did I just miss it?

I just want to squeeze both sides of the roads towards the middle. People love Boston for the human-scaled streets, so naturally planners had to abandon everything that's worked, and move forward with an approach that wouldn't look out of place in a sprawling sunbelt city.

Can't have that. "A decent infill building" is the best we can hope for there.

Two questions: 1. Has the MBTA received all the buses they'll need for this line? 2. Will they do the 60' to 40' bus switch when it gets dark or slippery?

I understand what you're saying, but when every middling design can be dismissed with some variant on "it's only an infill building", then it concedes that is the best Boston can hope for. Compelling design doesn't demand attention-seeking starchitect buildings. It can be something as modest...

They get all the props for planting trees in the interior of the park, not just on the outer edges. The idea that people might want to choose between sun and shade is too much for many landscape architects. This team gets it.

It took me a minute to realize the upper floors are not covered in insulation and awaiting the real cladding. That's really, really, really ugly. I have no idea what the architect was trying to do.
