I noticed they opened up the 2nd floor and folks were on the balcony during the Sail Boston event this past weekend.

So the steel is going to be painted white, and I think once the glass is in and it is lit up from the inside, it shouldn't appear as dark. Anything will be brighter than the hulking base of 100 Federal. And there wasn't a lot of open, public lobby space in 100 Federal before this addition...

On a related note, I wonder how/if Skanska continues to have trouble filling 121 Seaport if that would delay the building of another office building in the area.

That's about 40% leased - I believe there are 195 units in the building.

Is it just me, or does it seem like they clad this building pretty quickly. The windows started going in at the beginning of the year and it looks like it's pretty much all covered up now.

FYI, I don't believe this was a ground breaking for the hotel. It apparently was a welcome reception for Omni and team following the announcement that they were selected earlier this year.
