    441 Morgan Ave | Lot U | Cambridge Crossing | Cambridge

I wonder if these buildings are supposed to completely integrate with the bridge - i.e. get rid of the railings on this side and make it like a real street wall.. Similar to Summer Street and N and P parcels..

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

It came a long way since the beginning of this thread :)

Canopy by Hilton (née Haymarket Hotel) | Blackstone St | Parcel 9 | Greenway

Now if we can get rid of the damn billboards...

    11-21 Bromfield Street | DTX | Downtown

I actually kind of like it - it's the opportunity cost that's high here...

    11-21 Bromfield Street | DTX | Downtown

I don't get this - who needs new office construction? It seems every office building (and then some) in MA is doing or considering conversion to labs and they are proposing office here? wft? Why not build residential? People are clearly returning to the city - if you follow rental rates, it's...

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Wow - never knew this about underground electric cables. This is awesome. Thank you for the info.

West Cambridge / Alewife Area Infill & Small Developments

Sometimes I look at these brutalist school buildings and think - was this because of Cuban missile crisis? Was a continuous worry about nuclear war somehow always there in the back of architects' minds? Looking at it now it seems amazing to me that anyone would want to send children to study...

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

As far as I am concerned parcel G is by far the biggest offender to the developing urban fabric here. I'd much rather they develop that first.

Seaport Circle Project | 701 Congress Street (Massport Parcel H) | Seaport

Was driving by this today - it's fenced off and there's a lot of construction equipment there. Could it be under construction already?

Two Congress | Bulfinch Crossing East Parcel | West End

Not a big fan and I think it's too tall for the location. I'd much rather they added 100' to office tower and removed 50 here.

    The New Retail Thread

Now, if Tags could be the next transplant from Porter Sq here - that would be awesome.

    The New Retail Thread

Absolutely - they need a furniture store in that area.

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

Too bad. It was a rare instance where I actually liked the sign... Sorry for topic hijacking...

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

Speaking of signs - wasn't there supposed to be a logo or something on Four Season's tower?

The Abbot Building | 1-30 Brattle St | Harvard Square | Cambridge

Looks really nice. I only hope it's not going to be all bank branches and cell phone stores.

Skanska Office Tower | 380 Stuart Street | Back Bay

As to the general architectural mediocrity discussion - good stuff is expensive. And the more roadblocks are put in the more expensive it gets. So only very wealthy can now afford that - and we do have wealthy institutions, but not a whole lot of wealthy companies...

Skanska Office Tower | 380 Stuart Street | Back Bay

This looks very much along the lines of what Skanska built in Cambridge and Seaport - clean, elegant, a bit boring. I like it better than previous one.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Walked by the other day. Did they stop demolishing the garage? I thought it was supposed to come down as this tower goes up...

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

I think it's the ocean walk. It really ties the whole thing together. From all remaining parcels the biggest missing piece is parcel G - it's right in the middle of everything and really needs to get going..
