Amazon Office Tower I | 111 Harbor Way (Seaport Square Parcel L4) | Seaport

Re: Block L4 | Seaport Square I actually thought they are going to take the whole parking lot and build a giant shared underground garage - sort of like they did for B and C...

Omni Hotel @ BCEC | Summer St | Seaport

^^^ I think if they want to they can put retail in the corner without waiting for a new tower.

10 World Trade | BGI Office Tower (Massport Parcel A2) | Seaport

Re: Massport Parcel A2 | Seaport Wow. Looks a little gimmicky, but what the hell - at least it's different.

Kenmore Square North (WHOOP) | 533-541 Commonwealth Ave | Fenway

Kenmore has already lost part of its soul when Hotel Commonwealth got built. This just wraps it up into a 'keep walking, nothing to see here' package.

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

Really nice project. Well thought out. I really wish they used a little less glass though - I'm tired of glass...

Amazon HQ2 selected - and not Boston

Re: Suffolk Downs Redevelopment With Amazon out of the picture should we go back to speculating if a soccer stadium has a future in Suffolk downs?

    The New Retail Thread

Why can't developers fulfill their obligations for "community space" now instead of in the indeterminate future? Why some of this can't be rented out at nominal rent to a library or a bookstore or as a blackbox to a small theater group(s)? Of course more likely scenario is that they follow One...

It would be great if Trader Joe's comes to 121 Seaport or Echelon.

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Re: Site in Hub top choice for a soccer stadium If Boston is too expensive, why not weave it into urban fabric of say, Worcester? It's the second largest city in NE, and is pretty centrally located and accessible from Boston via train (sort of).

    The New Retail Thread

Today is soft opening of new Trillium location in Fort Point. Went to check it out - looks pretty good but all tables were already taken, including roof deck.

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Re: Site in Hub top choice for a soccer stadium I am not sure why is this an argument - there's currently 23 teams in MLS (soon to be 26) and only 7 (soon to be 6) are playing in non-soccer specific stadiums. It's a matter of Revs staying (or some would say becoming) relevant in their league.

MIT Stephen A. Schwarzman College of Computing | Kendall Square | Cambridge

I'm assuming it's a new building but their planning is likely well underway and unlike other places in Cambridge buildings on MIT campus usually get approved pretty fast.

MassDOT Pike Parcels 12 - 15 | Boylston St. and Mass. Ave | Back Bay

I don't mind parking per se, it's the amount that's questionable. They changed their proposal from '.5sp/rental & 1sp/condo' to '1.75sp/condo'.

MassDOT Pike Parcels 12 - 15 | Boylston St. and Mass. Ave | Back Bay

From other renderings looks like they are proposing option 5. I do like Beton's 4A the best though.

BU Data Sciences Center | 665 Commonwealth Avenue | BU Central

Re: BU Data Sciences Center | 700 Commonwealth Avenue | Kenmore Square We were walking by this the other day and one of my friends mentioned that the only redeeming quality of this building is that it will probably survive nuclear war :) As far BU proposal: I must say I started with 'yuck!'...

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial | Boston Common | Downtown

The Globe mentions a reason for proposed location: "Four would be built on symbolically resonant terrain adjacent to the Robert Gould Shaw and Massachusetts 54th Regiment Memorial on Beacon Street, which commemorates a unit of black soldiers who fought in the Civil War. " I like the bridge, but...

Kenmore Square North (WHOOP) | 533-541 Commonwealth Ave | Fenway

Citgo sign is not our Eiffel tower. It's a kitsch outdoor advertisement similar to ones now on show on the Greenway. Which is where it really belongs - in a museum/art exhibition. I'd say it again - save the building, put a tower in the place of the other 2, remove the sign. win-win-win
