Impressive digging. I do appricate the corner windows are being returned to somewhat their original mullion layout in the new renovation. I know of one building that has maintained their original 1920s steel frames of this corner type window. (I should post this on the "Where am I" thread)...

401 Park Drive (née Landmark Center) | Fenway

Still working on setting rebar at the first floor since the beginning of October! Looks like they set the crane base as well. Hopefully they can pour the first floor before winter sets in. It can act as a roof area to enclose the garage levels below where they can work thru the winter.

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

Steel and deck progreesing nicely. There was a question of what the finish product would look at the columns where the rebar was flanking both sides. There is a finish condition across the street/ turnpike in the last picture. The wall is the same height as the column on both sides, the gussett...

North End | Downtown Small Infill Projects

It appears this area was historically bad for pedestrians, look at this map of Haymarket in 1938. They had pedestrians tunnels underneath to the station Haymarket because of what I suspect was vehicle and horse traffic! The tunnels don't even go under the trolley tracks. .

North End | Downtown Small Infill Projects

Well the flip side of the existing brick construction that we love also has its flaws. The triple brick exterior walls of the building of old Boston do not have any earthquake resiliency, so there is something we need to hope never happens besides fire concerns of wood construction.
