View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

Right, but I'm wondering why they're installing the sign there and have cordoned off ~500 sq ft in that hallway? The entrance pavilion was originally slated to be constructed in the interior garden, not in an existing interior mall space...not sure if this is a temporary home, or promotional...

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

So I’ve been wondering for a while if they’ve reimagined how you’ll get into the Pru Tower to visit The View. This very permanent-looking sign was just installed at the boarded up part of the arcade in front of Saks

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

+1 I'm assuming a crane jump is imminent (maybe this weekend?); the current core is fast-approaching the base of the extension apparatus.

Hurray for keeping them, then? 🤷‍♂️

Nubian Ascends (Blair Lot) | 2164 Washington | Roxbury

This row of brick rowhouses is a delightful and surprising element of the project. I'm hoping that Harriet Tubman plus this help foster a new trend for small housing construction in Boston over the next few years; fingers crossed.

Moderna Science Center | 325 Binney Street | Kendall Square

I think this building would have been a handsome addition on the white and English tan elements, alone. The glass "geode" wasn't necessary and disrupts the elegant simplicity of the main grid and its ability to play with light.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

I’m cautiously optimistic; the upper triangle part of the fin seems to be what was lit overnight; the bottom half was not lit (yet?) It was a welcome surprise (shock) to me this morning, turning onto Dot Ave at 6:15 when it was still quite dark. When I got to Back Bay around 630, it did look...

Open Space | Turnpike Parcel 21 | Chinatown

Slightly disagree... not "full market forces." Two key factors limiting what's built there: Zoning and Massport. Zoning: There's a New York Streets Master plan here that I believe capped somewhere around 250' against 93 and scaled back from there as you head south and west away from Albany St...

Wentworth Mixed-Use Life Sciences Complex | 500 Huntington Ave | Fenway

Someone mentioned this in the Globe comments section, but the green space at the corner of Huntington and Ruggles feels like an afterthought and unnecessary given this is 1 block from the Fens. A full build out of the block feels like a better option here; perhaps even create a cultural space/...

Amazon Office II/SeaPAC | 1 Boston Wharf Rd. (Seaport Sq Parcel L5) | Seaport

This really closes in Congress St there...wild.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

There was a crane swap out of some sort over the past week or so on the Summer St side of the core. A larger crane similar to the one on the Atlantic Ave side of the core, now sits in its place; still at that lower height of the former crane though.

Eli Lilly IGM | 15 Necco Street | Fort Point

It's interesting that it's in some ways having a conversation with both the old wharf buildings with the lower podium as well as the newer State Street Building over at A and Richards in the distance with the angles, the brown/ blackish palette, the glass color, and colossal order. Pretty neat.

One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

It seemed a bit odd while in process, but the "papering over" of the old skin actually provides additional interest when the sun shines directly on that face which I'm assuming fades away to a uniform glossy, mirror-like appearance as the sun moves off that facet; pretty cool.

    Tishman Speyer Lab/Office | 232 A Street | Fort Point

I could be just the perspective, but the A street frontage looks about the same in both the phot from B&T and the 3D model; notice how the parcel is flanked by Binford to the north and "Mt Washington Ave" to the south in both renderings

    Ode to Brutalism

Agreed. Makes me wonder how much City Hall would be improved aesthetically if the concrete received the same refurbishment that the top of the Pru did in its recent renovation...

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

Looking at the hotel portion near the cantilevered entrance sign to I-90, you notice some of the façade has been installed. I didn't realize there was going to be this level of cohesion between the two buildings. Very excited to see how they "talk" to each other...

    Congestion toll in Boston?

It will take a while to move through the State House and then to be implemented, but I really think they need to get the T in much better shape before implementing. It's really not a viable alternative right now and think this could choke the city's economic growth if alternative...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

The main crane is expanding upwards as of this afternoon; core is closing in on the turntable of the smaller crane (northeast of the core).
