Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

I know Alkami has their logo consisting of orange text in Kendall, but for this generation of towers I think this is the first significant building without a white logo. I wonder if it wouldn't look as plastic/ inexpensive if white?

    Lego HQ Moving to Boston

The article mentioned that they currently occupy a smaller space in 501; given their preference for close proximity to public transit, I wonder if they have a larger footprint in mind? Wayfair has vacated/is attempting to sublease their space within 500 Boylston as well as the space they took...

761-793 Boylston Street | Back Bay

This is atrocious. The fact that at the very least, we cannot get attractive brickwork as a modern nod to its base and its neighbors is borderline criminal.

Another milestone passed: crane is disassembling itself this morning.

    EB80 | 80 East Berkeley | South End

The thing I object to the most is the signage atop the building in that screen grab; I'm hoping that element is ultimately rejected.

Stanhope Hotel | 39 Stanhope Street | Back Bay

So it's mislabeled, but that's actually the Clarendon-facing res tower portion of the Back Bay Station Rebuild which I believe is in the 400' range; that massing would jive with said supposition.

    800 Morrissey Blvd | Dorchester

I get it, this isn't the picturesque beaches of the capes (Ann & Cod), but as someone who travels through here on bike daily from May - November, this is a great, tucked away corner of the city to plop down and read a book, play a tennis game, toss around a ball, etc. Also, across the way from...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Looking back at the animation, I think that the additional two main columns/supports on either side of that central arch configuration are up next. Once those are complete, the tower floor plates start. update: I cycled past this tonight and at least for now, this structure is quite visible...

    Dorchester Infill and Small Developments

Interesting and assuming this trend will continue with the new complex underway up the street and potential redevelopment of the Ramada (and presumably, eventually Boston Bowl). This is probably a question for F-Line or other rail experts but what would it cost to build an infill station on the...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I hear you on this, but does that sentiment come from the bias towards this new structure and expanded concourse? South Station already has a grand entrance that offers placemaking through the original headhouse.

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

I saw this up close and it's actually a black fabric/netting. Definitely doesn't appear permanent, but an odd application. I've never seen a penthouse screen in recent Boston construction have this netting attached to it ahead of the final glass/ panels.

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

Yes, two vertical pieces that are braced to the core and a longer horizontal piece are up there as of this afternoon; this configuration is similar to what was placed on the building months back before being removed.
