Final beam is up; traditional evergreen and American flag are attached to a beam facing east now at the top of the tower.

FAA restrictions; sharp cut-off immediately south of the tower site. Cap is in the neighborhood of 300'

I think they're probably reacting to the Harlow across Kilmarnock? It seems like this color palette was already articulated there (though this "yellow" looks more vibrant for better or worse).

That main crane definitely got a boost over the weekend; it's now level with the top of the core.

Crane is on the way down this morning....

Final panels went up this evening, enclosing the SE corner of the crown...just ahead of the impeding tempest.

Actually I was just there the other day. Nothing. The South Garden appears untouched. I honestly hope they've abandoned it, there's a great row of mature trees there; I don't see a reason to cut them down for such an overdesigned entrance.

    Biking in Boston

This article was dated from June 7. So being eight weeks in, I was hoping a section might already be done, and thus took this route home from Back Bay yesterday. So far they've only spray painted the outline of a couple of bus islands and curb extensions exclusively between Magazine and Shirley...

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

Different species of grass to make a checkerboard? Feels a bit eccentric, but I like it!

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Not the point of the above post, with again more fantastic photos from DZ, but this is the first shot I've seen of Winthrop Square that makes it look distinctly different from Millennium Tower (much to its benefit).

They honestly could just slap some of that incredible mirrored glass (that makes some parts of the façade vanish in the right light conditions) on the sides of that box on top and it would be fine..... A screen would be preferable; current state the least attractive option.

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

I do wonder how quickly they could move with the "everything on one side of the highway" and then flip to the other side like they did with the Comm Ave Bridge Replacement project. Yes, it was a much smaller project, but with the COVID effect on the reduction of in-office workers, would it be...

are you speaking to the glass quality, or the physical orientation of the facets?

Copley Square Revamp | Back Bay

building on this, drop Dartmouth to 2 lanes in the Copley Sq block and then reconfigure the block south of there between the Westin and Fairmont in which today's configuration of left-left-island-straight-straight-straight (from west-to east) is replaced with left-left-straight-straight...

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

I'm going to say this and then duck: the state needs to either run legit rail into this area, or build a spur off of 93 - both monumental, near impossible tasks. The current infrastructure is woefully unprepared for the additional residential components off of 16, the casino, and a new stadium...

They've had a sort of fully enclosed platform working around the concrete ribbons for a few weeks; did the lower ribbon first. I'm not sure if they just cleaned it, or cleaned and tinted/ painted it, but it is much brighter now and works well with the new lettering. It feels like they've taken a...

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

I believe these are actually out. This intersection has been (at least temporarily) decommissioned pending the new configuration with N First linking up with Cambridge St in the final alignment. Couple of things to point out: 1. crosswalk is gone/ blacked out with trash bags over the crossing...

New Red and Orange Line Cars

Cycling over the Broadway Bridge yesterday, there were several new red line cars in Cabot Yard. Not sure if they've been delivered in sequence, but if they have been we have new ones/ a second trainset; I caught the tags for 1911 and 1912.

The glass is really amazing on this one (though concerned about the bird strikes mentioned upthread) in some of the photos in this thread. I do a double take as at first glance, I ask myself "wait, where's the rest of it?" as some sides almost blend into the background sky.
