    The Clarendon

I don't know if there are any more affordable units available. There are income limitations. One of the affordable units will be for sale. From the BRA website: - - - - - - 1. Up to 100% of Median Income Maximum Household Income: $63,150.00 for one person, $72,150.00 for two people Studio: 1...

    The Clarendon

I have a friend who lives in a subsidized unit in the Clarendon. It's a studio, but it's really nice. I'm assuming it's much more stripped down than the other units. I think he pays $550 a month, or around that price. Is the Penthouse unit with the terrace is the most expensive?

    The New Retail Thread

^ My roommate and and a close friend were mugged in the SOWA district. One had his iphone taken, the other almost had his taken, but escaped. Another friend was attacked outside of Meyer's and Changs. None of these incidents had to do with Pine Street Inn clients. It really isn't the safest...

Liberty Mutual Tower | 157 Berkeley Street | Back Bay

Re: Liberty Mutual plans major Boston expansion ^ Yes, maybe we should call it the new romanticism, with all of these faux ruins we have throughout the city.

    Harrison-Albany Corridor Strategic Plan

Developing a Frontier | South End News, November 25th I'm surprised that this hasn't been posted yet. "While previous meetings have discussed the vision, goals, objectives and concerns of the area, the Wednesday meeting was the first time the BRA presented ideas. The BRA?s Michael Cannizzo...

[ARCHIVED] Harbor Garage Redevelopment | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Re: The Boston Arch (Aquarium parking garage) How will the city collect more tax revenue by giving away $46 million? By adding jobs? From Shirley Kressel's article in the South End News: "Most astounding, they insisted that this subsidy was essential to create jobs for Boston residents...

93 Mass Ave (Other Side Cafe) | 93-97 Massachusetts Ave | Back Bay

Re: 93 Massachusetts Ave I love the Other Side. I dont look forward to bringing in another Best Buy, Starbucks or CVS, which is probably what will move into that space.

Liberty Mutual Tower | 157 Berkeley Street | Back Bay

Re: Liberty Mutual plans major Boston expansion I still feel misled. That block is an important connecting point between neighborhoods. The city should have pressed Liberty Mutual to do more at the street level. There's going to be a massive wall of office windows that will create a deadzone in...

Liberty Mutual Tower | 157 Berkeley Street | Back Bay

Re: Liberty Mutual plans major Boston expansion Maybe I'm wrong. I walk by this corner all the time, too. I feel like the angle of the street is exaggerated in the rendering. Here's the existing (maybe it's gone now) building for comparison. Actually, now that I see the images together I guess...

Liberty Mutual Tower | 157 Berkeley Street | Back Bay

Re: Liberty Mutual plans major Boston expansion I still think the renderings exaggerate the shape of the building. It's not going to look as thin and triangular as it does in the drawings.

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

Im sure if you googled you could find a lot of information online. From Shirley Kressel's (I know she's hated in these parts) August 12th piece in the South End News: "As the park construction proceeded, the ABC created a private non-profit dubbed the "Greenway Conservancy" (GC), which promised...

    Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

Toledo is my home town, too. I was surprised the city let them apply that signage to it's most visible building.

[ARCHIVED] Harbor Garage Redevelopment | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Re: The Boston Arch (Aquarium parking garage) I still believe the problem here is that the BRA made promises that the Mayor wouldnt let them keep. Unless Chiofaro's partner, Ted Oatis, was lying when he told the Herald this (May 14, 2010): "Ted Oatis, co-founder of Chiofaro Co., said he and...

Boston Herald, Aug. 31, 2010: Feds charge exec with illegally steering campaign funds to pols: Authorities say Raffol induced three Winn vendors to give money to specific candidates, then let them submit inflated invoices to get the funds back.
