Agreed....BUT: who picked out those flood lights... like really? Did we all of a sudden run out of vendors providing tasteful ornamental lighting to local municipalities? Those belong in a prison yard. Ugh.

I like the red, but there's some cognitive dissonance here for me.: Terminal E is branded with purple accents (the "logo", wayfinding signage, etc), while B is red.

Ragon Institute | 624 Main Street | Kendall Square

So which one do we want? Bland boxes that blend in are all glass/ fake brick/ hard to differentiate from each other, or something bold to aid in place making? Depending on the thread, we seem to contradict ourselves depending upon what's proposed....

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

Agreed. I was born in Nov '79 and very much remember riding the central artery to/from the garden (it was the best view of the city at the time because as a kid I felt like I was flying through the city scape). I also remember taking advantage of those tours where you got to walk on the Zakim...

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

That stretch is tough southbound on a bike, the conflicts of southbound Mass Ave vehicles banging a right to (mostly) the Pike and (distant second) Newbury are brutal; 0 regard for the bike lane there. I'd love the city/state to introduce a right turn light here separate from forward...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Gunner, was the Greenway shot taken after the other three? I ask because if the case it looks like in the time between the pics from Somerset Street to the Greenway shot, a new support collar was for the western tower crane was (at least partially) installed about two floors below where the...

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

I'm conflicted on this one because while I'm very excited for the additional density that this will bring to the corridor, we're losing another vantage point that showcases the verticality of 200 Clarendon. Overall, still decidedly a net positive.

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

Don't forget the Car Gurus HQ over on Mass Ave! At 20 stories it won't eclipse 300', but it will have a presence on the western edge of the skyline (especially from the River.

    Kendall/MIT Infill and Small Developments

It's fine. Certainly better than what's currently there. One thing I find odd is that it's about 2 floors shorter than a building that envelops it on both Hampshire and Portland. Why not try to go for that, adding 28 additional rooms to the building? This is surely welcoming guests...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

I know as a whole, we tend to reserve judgement to see the final product, but I already love what I'm seeing. The steel components are fascinating to me and do already provide a sense of fluidity to the building not usually seen (in Boston at least). I'm very excited!

    Melnea Cass Blvd

Looking more closely, the hardscape appears to be in the exact same position in those two shots. Do you have information to cite that tree removal was a condition for a bike lane? Where is that bike lane in the second shot?

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Seeing this core in person is really fascinating given it's sheer size. I've seen concerns voiced about the sheer width of this building, but given how well 50 Sudbury turned out, I have high confidence that this will be a showstopper, even from it flank.

Whacky idea.... could they close Dartmouth Street between St James and Boylston? We temporarily do it ever April for the medical tents at the finish line... imagine a unified and cohesive pedestrian plaza between Trinity Church and the McKim entrance....

    Biking in Boston

If you look at the intersection in this referenced plan, the current state speaks to an incomplete paint job. Looking at the photo, and starting from top to bottom, that "lane" that has the fading "sharrow" in it is going to be hatched with flex posts installed in the finished plan. As this...
