    Green Line Reconfiguration

OL to Nubian is the solution. Ridership on the southern half of the line drops off hard. Even with OLX to WRox, there should be sufficient space. A flying junction is nessary, but I think feasible

New Red and Orange Line Cars

So, is the present situation in Washington reason enough to rebuild the newer RL cars?

    Green Line Reconfiguration

This seems more of a God mode posting

Widett Circle Development, so it begins.

So, I know that both here and other forums, there are statements that Amtrak has plans to use the Front Yard for their own storage needs, but something has always bothered me. No Amtrak NEC consists are short enough to fit there.

    Probably still on the roster.

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

I think that Harvard has air rights.

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Shouldn't Lansdowne be the station for LMA shuttle connection? And Kendall should be LRT(as well as Harvard Sq IMHO)

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

The whole point of West Station and Regional Rail is to drive ridership to the rails by creating a reliable, clean, frequent service. Every MBTA train should be stopping, with dedicated ROWs to Harvard and Kendall. This setup is the opposite of that, with provisions for suburban coaches and car...

    Go around them.....how?

MBTA Commuter Rail (Operations, Keolis, & Short Term)

I believe that it is at least partially Union job bidding related

Natural Gas (LNG, Pipelines, & Distribution)

Read above. What part of NY is not inclined to approve don't we understand? Or is there some new way of getting gas here without the pipe going through the state?

Regional New England Rail (Amtrak & State DOT & NEC)

Okay article but claims that CSX owns most of the track when I don't think they own any of it. PAS and MBTA, yes?

    Crazy Highway Pitches

You would have to radically mode shift for Logan

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

So, am I the only one who sees the present craziness in DC as a possible opportunity to get the Corps decision changed on phase two through the swamp?

Idea for fixing the housing shortage

So, a city of that size would warrant at least one new station and possibly several, on both lines( and maybe to Lowell as well) I you suddenly had 100-300k people living there, Worcester service would do well, and Boston ridership would explode. Probably most service would only go to Devens...

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

First off, TM are volunteers, so cut us a little slack. TM shouldn't have to do this, the T should. Second, how much of this might be due to OL and RL fleet size?

New Red and Orange Line Cars

Agreed. I was referring to the period between the sanctions and the screwups. If they had fulfilled those contracts, I was suggesting that repeat orders from Chicago, LA and Boston could have been extensive enough to warrant not giving up

New Red and Orange Line Cars

This CRRC saga is most unfortunate. Even after the restrictions, they could have made good coin meeting the transit vehicle needs of their present clients. With a plant in WMa, they could have built a thousand EMU cars
