All of those are sensible. Maybe there needs to be some replacement West Medford service. Clearly the folks in Medford can’t suffer the pain of bus stops moving.
The T is going to chicken out on really reimagining the buses around the GLX, which is criminal. There is near zero reason to leave the 80 heading to Lechmere. Similarly, the 96 and 94 overlapping so much inside of the Medford/Tufts stop.
Rode my first Green Line train with the onboard equipment for the PTC. They have eliminated the single seat nearest the operator on Type 7s to accommodate it. Such is the price of progress.
I have fond memories of the MacWorld Boston conferences every August. Companies put together some elaborate booths for one week of use. Too bad there isn’t a more comprehensive photographic record of them.
It would be the final admission that the old elevated Orange Line “replacement service” through Roxbury was a lie foisted upon the neighborhood by Ray Flynn et al.
The commonwealth providing coverage for most of the educational expense of students in those IZ units is one approach. It’s probably gameable, but it spreads the larger social good across the whole commonwealth.
There definitely should be a single searchable permitting site. Ideally, it should include all documents filed for a given permit. That would make it easier to see plans for by right projects alongside the special permits.
