Ah, but see it’s primarily the ambiance that I’ll miss. The pizza is fine, but sitting out in that back parking lot on a warm summer night was really great. Looks like this building will fill that whole space.

I like that they’re leaving room for multiple retail establishments. It’ll be sad losing the back of Dragon Pizza though. It’s been a nice place to sit outside and eat/drink/talk in the summer.

But it won’t get fixed if new stuff like this is following the old pattern.

I agree with the Tremont side, but the Melnea Cass side is decidedly cut off from the street. Kind of like West Village and Ruggles Street.

The meeting was on a Monday. It doesn’t say what time, but already it’s going to be much harder for working people and parents to attend on a weekday versus retirees.

I think this is the big flaw in the argument: that if people/companies formerly tied to Boston were given the opportunity, they’d choose to reside instead in Brockton and Fall River. Wishful thinking to the extreme!

I was more concerned about fuel usage. Surely a 70min flight burns more than a 70min drive or subway ride.
