    1280-1330 Boylston Street, Brookline

Yeah that whole office park area south of RTE 9 seems really dated. Besides the "Chestnut Hill Square" (not to be mistaken for the chestnut hill mall, chestnut hill square, or the old Atrium mall), everything on that side seems empty, with things closing one after another.

    Massachusetts 2026 Congressional elections

this is why Kennedy should have waited a term and gotten the Markey endorsement this cycle. I think Wu will probably stay in state politics, I would be surprised to see her making the move to Washington. Maybe a governor's run eventually

    Local Politics Thread

I think you need to make it attractive to Brookline citizens to join Boston (outside of not having to say "I'm from Boston, well just outside of it"). What would be a positive? A promise to overhaul the Green Line? Some tax deals? Because annexing means losing Brookline Public Schools, and lets...

Massachusetts State Flag (we need a better state flag)

Some other thoughts. I think Slide 816: could work with some color tweaking, and aligning the shield in the center. Maybe make the blue a little lighter? I also really appreciate this one: But it does seem a bit busy. I love the red (perhaps cranberry) against the blue of the whale. Maybe...

Massachusetts State Flag (we need a better state flag)

I'm a fan of some reworking of this one: I enjoy the wave lines, and the yellow could be the expanded to the edges. Brings to mind a boat, book, and fields all at once. I think the whale is a nice element that would be Unique to a Mass flag. Maybe tweak the whale to a deeper cranberry? I...

    2025 Boston Mayoral Race

Best case, this reminds me of the Markey/Kennedy race, where they have similar politics but the challenger is calling out small issues with the incumbent. But I don't hear a lot from Kraft of big enough changes that would make a new mayor worth it. Wu is a bigger force than Healey sometimes. I...

wait so the shut down wasn't for bike lanes? Looks like A or E are preferable, with D as a backup

    Gillette/P&G Redevelopment | South Boston

Gosh what I would do to require developers to make winter mockups in addition to summer ones. I feel like it would result in some creativity for winter uses. Maybe some evergreens, maybe a small cafe stall or a winter holiday market would make me more excited for these rather than roll my eyes...

    Biking in Boston

Wow these images really show how little work has been done in West Brookline for biking. Newton St should definitely be targeted next. @bigeman312's Street A/Street B concept could definitely work for Heath Street as an Alternative to Route 9. I would be surprised to see Route 9 have bike...

    Biking in Boston

Tangentially related, but there really needs to be BlueBike docks at Brookline Reservoir Park, Jamaica Pond, and even Lars Anderson. But then we'll have to start the discussion about bike accommodations on Clyde/Lee Street which is a whole other can of worms.

    Biking in Boston

What is the Street B in this actual case? Fisher Ave would not be a realistic option with the elevation gain, Elliot St is totally out of the way. I totally agree that there should be car-centric streets working in tandem with cycling/micromobility-centric streets, but there aren't the options...

Same here, it's starting to look good. On sleepy amtrak rides it has me questioning "wait didn't we go through stamford already?"

    Site Issues

Happened to me a couple of times. Seems there's a problem with the "keep me logged in" cookie, as when I've fixed the problem and log back in, I'm thrown back into being forbidden. I've fixed it by wiping my cookies, and when that doesn't work, opting to not stay logged in.

what current destinations are offered at EWB? I see vineyard and nantucket on their website, and the Wikipedia page says there is JFK and Boston but I can't see proof of it.

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

Which other transit apps do people use? I know a lot of people who recommended Transit, esp for Boston. I normally use CityMapper, but it works best in NYC.
