DIstance photos are becoming a thing. Was on the 3rd floor on Tremont st, and could see this building rising over Boston Common in the distance. (and a nice sunset...)
Didn't realize it had a name already. (bolding added by me)
From the CRA agenda: "a) Draft Motion: Approving the permanent signage proposal for the Vega residential building at 121 Broadway, Parcel Two of the Kendall Square Urban Redevelopment Plan."
Generally, the construction footprint has been reduced. Sidewalk is open as well as the whole 'knoll'. Fence in place is now see-through - so they are getting closer...
New floor down - looking nice. (Wish the whole station could be...). WIth the number of cables, looks like work to still be done. Kind of surprised to see the old elevator doors there - would they keep that as a backup?
The plastic up during the afternoon commute. Since the first fo 2 shutdowns is this weekend, I wonder if thay'll take that time to 'join' the new and old floors (and maybe fix the current crappy floor...)
If I remember correctly the short builds were supposed to house 'contractors' while the tower had employees. Not sure if that was the DoT implementation or the original NASA plan. Fun fact - "one broadway" was built as a 'contractor building' to be close to the NASA site.
