New paths in Danny Lewin park being laid.

Seems the best place to post. Work on Danny Lewin park is progressing. (140(ish) Broadway, between Marriot and Google). Curbs/bed borders are going in.

Looking closer at the rendering. The steel is up for the main square addition. No steel yet for the little piece in back - looks like where the park will connect to the stairs I stood on to get some of those pics.

Got some photos today on the way home. Not sure if the 'white' part is decoration or if they are moving the T elevator; and the elevator will now stop at 'park' level.

Wow - they are moving. Wonder if it's worth catching a bus to get some photos myself. :)

OK, who else is 'this old' here??? Scanning old negatives, and since we are talking Kendall Outbound - here's a photo from an upper floor of the Marriott right after it opened. The courtyard is still under construction, and we can see the stairs and elevator for the "new" Kendall...

No activity since the gas station building was cleared almost 2 months ago. but the backhoe has been sitting there ever since. But in the last few days a 'coming soon' sign went up with renderings...

Additional disassembly of the Kendall outbound headhouse. The structure is getting down to steel, and that cement curtain wall is coming down.

Apparently they are starting to disassemble the current Kendall Northbound headhouse already. Notice today that Kendall will be closed on two weekends instead of one. (Not my photo - taken from a FB group)

Snapped some photos on the way home Temporary Outbound entrance on Main St, in "the Google building" Rooftop view of the Marriott courtyard. The old exit path is closed off, but no major (new) work there yet

Hmmmm. The new temporary exist to the Kendall Northbound (outbound) entrance/exit was cut in this past weekend. I guess the station closure for the end of the month is for demo of the old headhouse???

Curious if the tanks were ever removed or if they are still under there somewhere :)

The article gives more insight though. This also seems the reason why the 2 story building there stands. The whole think is a lease issue more than anything else - the loading dock and 'vibrations' are a bit of a red herring.

Thanks for the rendering. (Couldn't find mine quick enough). Confirms up/down construction here. Build the slurry walls and sink footings. Then steel can go up while you simultaneously dig out the dirt and build the garage downward, with the slurry walls and footings supporting the steel...
