Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

Excellent perspective summary. Thank you! ....and that first pic of the Filene's Annex and street scene - - looks like Memphis 1965.

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

Why are you obsessed only with the "neighbors"????? Help me understand - Is the Franklin Park neighborhood the only people paying the public cost of the stadium? Are they going to be the only people going to the games? Don't all the citizens of Boston have a right to know the costs that THEY...

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

Who said it is "blowing up"?????? Way to put words in someone's mouth. My post was in response to the contention that it is "something zero neighbors talk about with strong opinions". If you can't see the difference between that and your hyperbole, I can't help you. My opinion is that this...

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

Duly noted. But the media is a business. The Globe wants clicks - - they don't concentrate on stamp collecting. 78 readers comments on the article within 24 hours disputes your opinion, as does 319 posts in this thread. But we'll see within the next two years what the outcome is. My money...

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

It is what it is, folks. How many more events and data points do people need to see that this is a slow-moving car crash? https://www.bostonglobe.com/2025/08/28/metro/boston-white-stadium-public-records/

    Allston-Brighton Infill and Small Developments

Yes, you are correct about the PAST, but in the past few months we've been seeing more big league financing coming through for residential real estate projects compared to the previous 5 years. The ice is definitely melting currently and policymakers are finally focused. The last need was the...

    Allston-Brighton Infill and Small Developments

That area at the junction of Cambridge and Harvard Streets is becoming a hotbed of great urban - people centered (resi/hotel) development - - watch that space. Just across the street diagonally is the proposed 382-390 O'Briens Pub/Great Scott groundfloor residential tower project...

Fenway Corners (Red Sox) | 1 Jersey Street | Fenway

I agree with you on the sentiment, but until the tax code changes, Citizens United v. United States is overturned, Qatari Airplanes being “tributed” to Our Leader ends, etc. you’re just shaking clenched fists and yelling at clouds. But I agree with the sentiment.

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

You are correct - - there hasn't been a "single shovel in the ground". There have been bulldozers. From the article's 7th paragraph: "Karen Mauney-Brodek, president of the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, on Tuesday attributed the higher cost of the nonprofit’s updated plan to the completed...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

My hope was always one over North Station and one over South Station for landmarking orientation and general beauty. To me, it just made so much sense

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

I understand, but my post said for "non-lab buildings" in general and the residential Parcel R (previous posts with renders/link) in particular.

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

I think the massive width/length of those landscrapers are the problem. Imagine what NorthPoint would be if its non-lab buildings were the very same square footage but 50% of width/length and 200% of the height.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

To be more precise - I'm not proposing the Disney-esque style of a Vegas/Dubai, but more along the lines of what you are indicating. Better lit streets and ground floor retail/signage etc. with better lit but muted (enough for orienting oneself to location at night - i.e. 'Oh yes, there's the...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Mea culpa. Those first two sentences were wrong on my part. I hate it when people do that, and I fell into it myself. You and I simply have different opinions on what helps a city appeal more to a wider audience and attract more revenue (with the intent never to lose it's character). And...
