    Sidewalks/Walkability in Massachusetts

Heck, in NYC, UPS can implement its delivery algorithm to use the grid to minimize the impact of traffic lights. In Boston, it’s not as useful.

    kz's Wanderings Around Greater Boston

I grew up in a house with a vintage 1968 Nu-tone intercom. That photo shoot is giving me flashbacks.

Biogen Global HQ | 75 Broadway | Kendall Common (née Volpe parcels) | Kendall Square

The steel core does make this one rise quickly. Pretty soon it’s going to dwarf the old Volpe.

    MBTA Construction Projects

I remain amazed at how a relatively short double track project on a right of way that previously had two tracks can take so long.

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

Part of me is rooting for Option C to untangle the Boston Ave situation. I remember being dependent upon the 96 routing via George, and that stretch seemed to screw with the reliability during inclement weather.

Postmodernism deserves a little love too!

Looking at the historical satellite imagery on Google Earth, it appears to date from 2001-2002.

Tallest building in town, can you name the city?

    Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

270 Sidney is getting the tent and vent treatment for demolition. Not sure what is going to be built here, but I’m guessing housing. NB: Cambridge uses OpenGov for online permitting, but they don’t make it searchable by address. It would be nice if they could get over themselves and enable that.

Union Square Somerville Infill and Small Developments

59 Bow St 84 Prospect. The Rust Palace is nearing completion. 188 Prospect 108 Prospect 121 Prospect is definitely the pick of the litter for the Prospect new builds. 84 Webster.
