    Congestion toll in Boston?

I was thinking Bowker too initially because it would catch a ton of flow off of Storrow. Getting that "far" west should also look at including the Fenway area and Prudential areas. The aim is obviously to capture folks who are commuting into the city rather than residents. Presumably there would...

    Congestion toll in Boston?

Everything should be on the table and the notion of talking about all possible options should not be shied away from. If we are going to go this route though, we need to swing big from the beginning because enlarging down the road would prove to be VERY difficult. I think an initial congestion...

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

I think this conversation is pointing out the many complexities that go into building in our city (really building in general). Residential is one of the hardest to build because the margins are so tight to begin with. Factoring tight margins with things like interest rates, construction costs...

The Ipswich | 2 Charlesgate West | Fenway

Would Berklee be allowed to buy the property at auction? Could it possibly be Samuels bought the property "for cash" and then Berklee was able to take a more traditional financial approach? Maybe Samuels and Berklee had an agreement the whole time? Presumably Berklee does not have the...

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

It's probably not a question of not wanting to do it, but more of a question of finding a residential partner willing to take on the project. IQHQ is a life science developer right? Presumably they would need to find a residential developer that is willing to take on the existing debt of the...

MBTA Fare System (Charlie, AFC 2.0, Zone, Discounts)

Don't disagree with this at all. Just frustrating to see it occur time and time again. The fare enforcement folks I saw at Wood Island were initially three individuals standing in a group, then when I returned to station later on there were two and that is when they stopped the fare evader...

MBTA Fare System (Charlie, AFC 2.0, Zone, Discounts)

Yesterday I saw three different riders evade fare collection (all three were following behind another rider). Wood Island was the first and there were two fare enforcement officers who stopped them and had scan a card. The other two locations were within the core and the red jacket T worker saw...

Union Square Somerville Infill and Small Developments

I guess it'll depend on which rendering gets built. The black brick shows them and the red brick does not. I have my guess on which on gets built, but will wait and see as construction progresses. Going from black to red (or vice-versa) is a pretty drastic design change that I would be surprised...

    Logan Airport Capital Projects

This is what I thought you were initially talking about haha. Then I took another look at the map and saw the remnants of the Neptune Road boulevard. The only way I see Frankfort Street being useful would be if it was converted into a bus only road and the Wood Island bus sequence was rearranged...

    Logan Airport Capital Projects

You are referring to the useless boulevard stretch of Neptune? What is the point of that?? That whole are is pretty gnarly when it comes to roadway organization standpoint.

Thanks for sharing. Do you happen to know if all those obligations have been fulfilled?

    Quincy Infill and Small Developments

Thanks for sharing. I saw the garage being 3-levels and was confused and then I saw Mill Creek as the developer and understood more. I don't think their model typically pencils buildings below a 1.0 spot per unit and this one has 322 parking spots for 321 units, even with direct access to the...

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

While they could, I wonder if the MBTA could swing a bigger stick (sort of speak) to overrule local jurisdiction. "bendy" buses is a great way to digestibly describe an articulated bus to the average joe. Love it haha What feels like a lifetime ago, I worked in the Market Basket design offices...

When did this happen? Feel like that would've gotten a decent amount of attention.

401 Park Drive (née Landmark Center) | Fenway

Amazing photos that give a great sense of what the campus is turning into. The ground level shots are great, but it has been a challenge at times to really grasp the huge impact the new buildings have had. Thanks for sharing!

Armstrong Property Proposal | 10 Plain Str. | Braintree

Boy that second rendering shared by stick leaves a lot to be desired. Kinda looks like a ProLogis warehouse with windows punched into it and some skin variation. I'm presuming the first rendering is a riverwalk of sorts that would be within the flood zone of Hollingsworth Pond looking east...

i believe this site is where the affordable units for Winthrop Tower is supposed to go. Does anybody remember how many of these 132 units Millennium is responsible for?

    Gillette/P&G Redevelopment | South Boston

I am by no means saying don't take the swing, it would never happen if not asked for. I would just hope that it isn't a hill the neighborhood is wanting to die on. If the ask is being made, I am just asking for the rational arguement for it. Knowing that P&G is most likely doing the horizontal...

    Gillette/P&G Redevelopment | South Boston

An interesting anecdote to the folks that have called for housing. Many folks who called for more housing in the master plan wanted to go from 30% up to a 33% threshold. They appeared to be referencing some survey/study/something that was advising that 33% threshold. A chuckle I gave myself is...

    BCEC expansion | Seaport

Thanks for sharing the slides. Looking at them, I would think if they building "future connection" from E Street to Summer Street (which would be completely logical) then the Fargo ROW could be abandoned and not create the funky triangle parcel that would be difficult to develop down the road.
