I meant second tier compared to what people used to think of as first-tier American cities as NY, LA, Chicago.

Why in the hell would anyone do/want that??? The same could be said for NY, Chicago, and many many other large cities.

I guess some people are just stuck in the past. Boston (and especially the metro area as a whole) is not at all what it was 20-30 years ago, but maybe it's just easier to keep it compartmentalized as a lower-tier city.

We really won't know until the crown is up and the glass is finished. For now MT looks taller and the glass on both appears similarly from a distance. That being said, Winthrop is looking much nicer from ground level up close, with very nice detailing, whereas MT is super plain.
