New gas vehicles will be gone in 10 years or less. Many auto manufacturers are going full-electric by 2025 and almost all will be full-electric by 2030. Boston (maybe all of Mass?) will be all-electric by 2035, so this is not a pipe dream nor just for the rich, sorry for the reality check...

I'm really digging how silver this glass is turning out! Very very elegant and different from the all the blue ones!

"Progressive" means progress, movement forward. Somehow certain political beliefs associate "progressive" with "liberal" and other negative connotations. It's completely ridiculous, but there certainly are portions of the population that would prefer to NOT advance, move forward, or progress...

Bay Village Apartment Tower | 212 Stuart St. | Bay Village

I know, and I get that. My point being that, like a model whose arms are exposed and taken into account for the design of a shirt, they may be viewed as an attractive part, but the overall attractiveness of the model is certainly not hinged upon the elbow. The sharply defined corners of this...

I'm not sure where some of you are getting your information regarding the sales of many of these places. One of my best friend's wife is in top-tier sales and has numerous clients who have put money down on places in St Regis, Dalton, MP, Sudbury and most others and she says that, though they...

The Bon | 1260 Boylston Street | Fenway

It's about 15 cents more in the city than in the suburbs. I just got back from Chicago and everywhere there is well over $4 even for 87. NY metro area is also around $4 and up. Cali is close to $5, so Boston isn't all that expensive unless you're comparing it to somewhere rural.

Bay Village Apartment Tower | 212 Stuart St. | Bay Village

^^ This photo sums up everything that is wrong with this building. Aesthetically I don't think the designers can look at this and feel proud. The color is so light it adds to the cheapend and aged appearance.

Bay Village Apartment Tower | 212 Stuart St. | Bay Village

Not sure I would want such ugliness to be so largely visible throughout the city. I would like it twice as tall with a different cladding. Trying to figure out a pattern and any semblance of cohesion to the ribbing makes my brain hurt.

These are the spots where a 1000'er needs to go ^^

Bay Village Apartment Tower | 212 Stuart St. | Bay Village

I walked by this yesterday with some friends and everyone commented on how ugly and instantly old it looks. For me, it came out far worse than the renders. The coloring, the panels, all of it looks disjointed and uneven in all of the wrong ways.

One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

I agree with almost everything here except that I DO feel this new glass reclad is exactly right for the Post Office Square location. In its old form it blended in with all of the brown/beige/other dirt-tones it is immediately surrounded by. Now in its blue glass it definitely lets its presence...

That garage demo just can't happen fast enough. I wish they could just block off the street for a few days and blow it up and clear away the rubble.

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

Oh yea sorry, I was actually thinking of the newer glass building next door to the Hilton, I'm not sure what it's called but I think it's a condo tower. That old Sheraton next door in that cluster is indeed also gross. I was actually thinking of the larger Copley Sheraton as a candidate for...

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

The Hilton next to 1 Dalton?? That was only built like 10 years ago! It's barely noticeable on the skyline and certainly not offensive. The Sheraton is drab and dated-looking and I would say a reskin would do wonders for it and the Back Bay skyline.

Bay Village Apartment Tower | 212 Stuart St. | Bay Village

True, I hang out in Bay Village/South End every weekend and it really isn't that obvious from the street but those pics definitely show it from higher up, especially when driving in from the south on 93 north.

    30 Leo | 30 Birmingham Parkway | Brighton

Ok, style is subjective. My friends used to live right around the corner from here and I walked by this hundreds of times and always thought it was super ugly and extremely dated, like out of the '50s or something. For me it just hasn't aged well and doesn't look "timeless". But as others have...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I too am torn on this building. It is growing on me and part of me likes it, which I never would've said based on the renderings. I can handle the disconnection between the lower and upper parts and now I kinda like the outcroppings in the upper part and I definitely LOVE how the bottom came...
