Rutherford Avenue to go on a diet!

Very disappointing. The City is really losing credibility with their plowing ahead of Rutherford Ave and Melnea Cass Blvd with designs that are VERY unpopular with the community. These were both designed by veteran BTD engineers who have been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century...

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

It seems like on the 50th floor they are going to be installing a scale model of Boston. That would be very cool.

    Roxbury Infill and Small Developments

The number of people on the streets around Mass/Cass has gone WAY up since COVID. 60% of them are not from Boston. There are more used needles around than previously as well. And because a lot of public facilities are closed, the amount of human feces on streets and sidewalks is out of control...

Nubian Ascends (Blair Lot) | 2164 Washington | Roxbury

The only upside I see to a garage like this is that it becomes easier to remove on-street parking for bus and bike lanes!

    Worcester Kelley Square

I think for bikes, the intent was to either ride in the travel lane or use the sidewalks.

    Biking in Boston

I think it's also because of the new signal timing. Court St and Cambridge St will have a green at the same time now, so bikes would have to cross two lanes of moving traffic to get to the bike lane on Tremont St.

    Gillette Stadium

I would compare it to the effects that Fenway Park has on the surrounding neighborhoods. It definitely brings in customers to the local businesses.

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

We should not be eminent domaining anything for a highway in 2020.

EXP | 795 Columbus Avenue | Northeastern University

I live just over a half mile away in the South End and I could hear the pile driving quite loudly as well. It only lasted a few days though.

    Allston Green | 24 Linden & 8-20 Pratt Street | Allston

You can't just flip the location if the street isn't wide enough. A bike lane between parked cars and a travel lane can be 5', but a bike lane between the curb and parked cars needs to be 8' (5' + 3' buffer.) Also, we will sometimes hear that that there needs to be 18' of pavement available in...

MassDOT Rail: Springfield Hub (East-West, NNERI, Berkshires, CT-Valley-VT-Quebec)

We already have buses between Springfield and Pittsfield. What would be the point of studying that?

    Allston Green | 24 Linden & 8-20 Pratt Street | Allston

If anything, they're going to need a long Uber/Lyft/drop-off/pick-up/delivery vehicle zone, NOT parking.

    Fenway Infill and Small Developments

Well, it does not look like the rendering, that's for sure.

    Fenway Infill and Small Developments

Nope. The building is called The Henry.

    Fenway Infill and Small Developments

I'm not sure what they were going for here, but whatever it was, it didn't work.

    Biking in Boston

Well they've been studying it since 2014 and they've already scrapped some very good plans. The fact that it took until 2020 to do ANYTHING is pretty sad.

BFIT Redevelopment | 41 Berkeley Street | South End

Making this a senior living facility is actually really smart, if not just because residents in a residence like this do NOT have cars. But also, being in the middle of the city is a good thing. Seniors can actually get outside and walk places and participate in the neighborhood...

DCR, being dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century about 20 years late.

Somerville High School Renovation & Expansion | 81 Highland Ave | Somerville

In 30 years, we're going to think this new building looks just as stupid as the 80s addition did to us now. Also, why are the windows so small?
