Actually, the presence of a restaurant and a college fitness center in the building does not preclude there being a CIA ops center in the building. The UDG on the first floor used to be a CVS. The ugly facade is now crumbling. A perfect cover! :cool:

I wonder if developers deliberately add more floors to their project than they want to build. Knowing that the city/NIMBY's will chop off floors no matter what the proposed height.

But the IMP has no mention of a new building or even a major renovation of one for COM. That tells me BU has not decided what to do. I asked in that thread if there was a deadline for IMP submission because the IMP appears to be incomplete.

Pardee gets a new building while COM will be kicked out of its dumpy old building with no published plans for a new site.

But that is not why most people hate the City Hall building.

I wonder how many people praising this BU building have condemned Boston City Hall and/or called for its demolition. City Hall was considered new, interesting and groundbreaking when built in the 1960's.

It doesn't look like any more of the garage has been demolished facing Haymarket Square. I thought that they were going to take advantage of the Orange Line shutdown to do that.

Tufts now joins Northeastern, BU and BC as a streetcar college!

Just to be a Debbie Downer I predict that in the next 5 years BU will spend a minimum of $10 million to fix/replace some of these advanced features.

Actually, I like the CSC! It is one of the few Brutalist complexes that has aged well. It makes a fine extension of the Northeastern campus. Symphony Plaza is something else.
