That's gross. The one interesting thing is the pass through under the apartments.

MaineDOT.....that explains everything. Totally unrelated but always stuck in my craw......why can't the State of Maine get bridge seams right? I've never seen so many rough transitions from road to bridge to road as they have in this state.🙄

    Portland's Franklin Street redesign

If they are looking for more federal funding.....good luck!

Must be nice! Landscaping and beautification is such a low priority in this state.....it has always bugged the hell out of me....and always will!

    General Portland Discussion

We've taken Concord to Logan numerous times. Convenient, clean and safe are the 3 words that come to mind. You can't beat their Portland>Logan schedule. We fly direct roundtrip from Logan to San Diego.

Direct routes to Las Vegas, San Diego and LAX would be incredible.

Do they have to move the Amtrak station? Seems like a dumb thing to do with all of the development around there finally happening.

That Dick's purchase is really interesting. That whole side of the Mall needs some major redevelopment.

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Cool design. The only change that I would make is the dark colored (brown/black?) balconies and roof area. I would mimic the dark gray stone facade strip around the first level.

Attractive building.....hopefully they get their act together and get Rock Row built out over the next 5 years.

    USM | Portland

Taylor Swift is more likely to show up in Bangor than Portland to do any performances. Regarding UMaine and USM.....they are both moving in positive directions. And I believe both have focus and differentiation now that was much needed in a state with limited resources. UMaine is the science...

I think that PWM hits 1.5 mil and BGR hits 500K over the next 5 years.

What does Boston do to circumvent these regulations? Does Massachusetts have loose regulations?

The key to surviving a ride on that merry-go-round was to straddle that rail facing outward. Those slides in the hot summer sun.😂 Seesaws were not my favorite.

Major new Universal theme park (Epic Universe) opening this spring.....should help keep seats to Orlando filled in 2025.

This would have been a great spot for a casino too. Encore-Portland.

Amen. Can we stop pretending that everyone in Maine is poor?.......

    General Portland Discussion

This place is the best place for Maine architectural, economic and social discourse. It's hard to find places that are populated with people that have brains. I'm seriously thinking of ditching all of my social media accounts very soon and this might be one of the only places left to connect...

    Bangor, Maine

So weird that a state like Maine that values history and tradition so much were so quick to demolish their cities. Good grief.
